It'll have buttons because it wouldn't work well as an individual mini controller with a dpad

I still use it. Miles better for tougher platformers like Celeste or Hollow Knight. Buttons were so frustrating for me. I’d buy another one if the S2 has buttons.

I have absolutely no doubt it can, but it will require patches to do so, which I'd hope we'd get at least for the first party titles, which to be fair are the only ones I care about anyway.

What I doubt is if the higher resolution and frame rate will be available without a fee. This is Nintendo after all.

I remember the Wii U using the Wii channel section to play Wii games and needing gamecube memory cards for gamecube games the Wii.

I hope I can use my Switch SD card with the Switch 2. I imagine that the Switch 2 will support faster SD cards but I still have quite a bit on my original Switch SD card.

Can't blame them, this is all free publicity and hype and they don't have to do a thing

Adding to the rumour pile.... Eurogamer reporting from a leaker NateTheHate (who was spot on breaking the news that Microsoft would go "multiplatform" last year) that Microsoft will be on board with Switch 2 as a "very big supporter" with them planning to release the Halo Master Chief Collection and Flight Simulator.... in 2025
