*** Nintendo Switch ***

I had a great time with Skyrim on holidays even though I’ve bought it probably 3 times elsewhere. Brilliant on the Switch.

Everyone seemed to be betting on something being announced on the 16th but I think we’d have had a ‘join us tomorrow for’ message by now if that were the case. Hope I am wrong!
They might just upload a pre-recorded video to YouTube or something.

The original Switch announcement video dropped out of the blue (on a Thursday) on Nintendos website and Twitter back in 2016, if we're getting anything imminently, I'm expecting it to be along those lines, possibly itself revealing the date for a full Nintendo Direct event if not the actual release date.

Oh, this is probably a stupid question but is there list somewhere of all the DLC available for each individual game? My main complaint about the Switch is the eShop kinda sucks.

I was thinking earlier, I don't know why I'm worried that the S2 will be using an LCD screen. All it means is I wait it out and if they do release an OLED one later, more games will have been released (don't really have many from Switch left unplayed), and if it doesn't happen, well other companies will have developed handhelds too which should be powerful enough to you know what.

after comparing my LCD steam deck and my mates LCD switch to my lads OLED switch, i can honestly say i wont be buying a handheld which isnt OLED again.

same with TVs.... once you go OLED its hard to go back imo

i can only think this this a fairly deliberate shady practice that nintendo are doing given they already make OLED consoles.

they know a lot of people will not wait, but equally will also choose to upgrade to a new version in a few years time as well allowing them to double dip.

genuinely i would take a slightly lower resolution screen in handheld mode but keep OLED... ie i would take just using the exact switch 1 screen in the switch 2

This is where I'm at, every device I own has an OLED screen (tv's, laptop, phone) and it's one of those things where it's such a noticeable downgrade that I don't like anything else. That said, if there was an absolute banger of a game I'd happily get one and play it docked.

@Mariusz That would be a nice option but then when I got my first Switch I sold the dock for £70. This was before I had an OLED tv etc so didn't bother me then.

How long can you wait for though?

Nintendo will come down fast this time I think if a certain group of devs do you know what.

Years. It's always been a secondary device for me and there is no shortage of games to play elsewhere.
I think I'll hold out pretty well, I didn't get a switch until about 2 years after launch and this was before I had spoiled myself with OLED stuff.
And yes good point on the you know what, if it's not that different though I wonder if something new is needed or its just tweaks for what is already out there.
