*** Nintendo Switch ***

I do love the Switch and almost everything about it.

However I would have preferred that 1-2 Switch was included in the box for the £279.99

also I haven't pre-ordered due to a 5 day trip to New York in mid March. Tempted to try and pick one up there, or at least some games and stuff from the Nintendo store or somewhere? Will I be cheaper getting it over there?

If you have Prime Zelda is now £47.99

Thank God. I REALLY didn't want to pay £60 for a game as I haven't spent that much on one since I owned a SNES/Nintendo 64 and have no desire to do it again :)

I notice the switch Pro controller is currently retailing for £100 on the rainforest! Looks like I'll be sticking with the joy cons for now.

Being stuck in the past isn't working either. People have such fond memories of the golden years of the snes and N64 but the world has moved on and gaming is a lot more sophisticated now (not saying it's necessarily better). Simply remaking Pilotwings into a modern game would be so difficult; you don't want it to be the same as it used to be but then again, you do.

I think you're giving them a bit of a free pass man. Sure, a modern Pilot Wings would require online leader boards, perhaps some kind of multiplayer, maybe lobby where you chat with mates and take turns competing etc. Work would absolutely be required, but the core gameplay would remain the same, and people (importantly, new generations of gamers) would enjoy it. Are you saying they shouldn't make cool games because it's hard?

Pilot Wings on 3DS was crap, Starfox on Wii U was poor (admittedly I only played the demo).

F-Zero would be nice but the FAST series might well scratch that itch.

I had FAST Racing Neo on the Wii U. It is fun for a short while, but no way near as good as F-Zero IMO. It just does not scratch that itch unfortunately.

I really want a new F-Zero :(

Excellent. Was expecting as much considering a few other places like Argos are selling it for £49.99.

My pre-order with amazon now shows £47.99, I am happy with that price for Zelda. Now I will wait to pick up Mario Kart 8 Deluxe for £37.99. Still expensive buying it the second time, but I can live with paying that price I suppose :)

£60 directly from nintendo :-)

Edit- It seems the prices have gone down - I'm sure it was £65 before

Still way too expensive. Needs to drop to £40 before I would remotely consider it. I am just happy there are two joy-cons that come with the system so for the odd multiplayer game I will play like Mario Kart, those will do. Also reportedly the joy-cons are very good to use so I am happy I am not forced to spend £60 on an additional controller :D

Gah...don't know what to do! Have an amazon pre-order...tempted to jsut put the money towards scorpio as I know I'll want that.

I had chance to pre order...but this has WiiU written ALL over it

Will have some good Nintendo games and that's it....3rd party will be terrible as shown already with no decent games that are current.
Even the FIFA game is made for Switch only lol

May as well wait 6 months and see how it's doing as the only game worth playing anytime soon is Zelda.
Not worth paying £350 odd to play 1 game

The Scorpio is almost a whole year away, it's your call but I'll get both because they are so far apart. I mean it doesn't even have a release date.

Think i might cancel my pre order and wait to get a bundle with Splatoon or MK. If it had one of those at launch i'd be on it. I'll keep the pre order just now but i just dont know.

Couple of questions about the HD rumble though, does the HD rumble when the joycons are attached to the switch or the little plastic thing you can use? And does the pro controller have HD rumble? I'd hope so, cos if not, i don't really see the point.

the pro pad does have hd rumble and an amiibo reader. probably why they want 60 for it

Oh also just discovered this.

Some things I noticed (bearing in mind this is a 2017 line up)

New Rayman, Lego City game, Sonic (different from another one I've seen mentioned, I think) and what's the last one? Is this the FAST? or is this a Wipeout?

Either way, more games popping up! :)

EDIT: Yes it is FAST DMC. Looks a lot like Wipeout from the videos on Youtube :)

I presume Fast Racing RMX will be a downloadable title since it's showing as a March release but no retailers have it listed? The reviews of the previous game for Wii U were actaully pretty good at around 80% so if it's a cheap-ish downloadable title I might pick it up to give me a bit of variety from Zelda.

I'm not quite sure about Fire Emblem warriors. I love the Fire Emblem series and turn based strategy games but absolutely hate the 'warriors' style beat-em-ups so I'm feeling kind of negative about it overall.

Has anyone heard anything about whether there will be any Virtual Console games available on release?
