*** Nintendo Switch ***

Side note - I have zero interest in the capabilities of the Amiibos but I find myself wanting the BOTW Link one as it looks so cool...it would go well next to my other small figurines I have on a shelf at home.

Hmm.. Pretty sure that **** of a game 1-2 Switch will have heaps of stock remaining, but unsure if I want to gamble.

You'll be surprised - most people would see that as the fun game to have with the Switch to play. Especially with them promoting the HD Rumble aspect of the Joy-Cons.

So far I have a Mario and a Ryu one. I just wait until they are about a fiver and pick the ones I want then. Got the Ryu one for like £4 I think :D

Did not like the Link they last made, the way it was held up was not visually pleasing to me, but may eventually get the new Link once the price drops :)

You're likely right, it will have the Wii audience.

I will get it eventually on the cheap second hand I think. Looks like some of the mini games could be a bit of fun, but not at the current price.

I mean who would not want to milk a cow? Am I right? :p

Using the Amazon code and some additional credit I can get Switch 1-2 and MK8D for £27.99 each, but unsure whether to pull the udder if I'm not going to get it on the 3rd.

Amazon lists "This item will be released on March 3, 2017." for Switch 1-2

It will arrive on the 3rd.

In the end I went for MK8D and the steering wheels package. I remembered how my other half always insisted playing with the wheel, will keep her happy. The code really helped make the price for the game plus wheels bearable :)

Did not touch my Zelda pre-order as I want that day 1 with the Switch. Just imagine if the Switch turned up and you had to wait a day or two for Zelda for some reason. That would be painful.

Be more painful to get the game and no console! :p

I remember waaay back when HL2 came out. A guy posted online about how he had received his pre-order 2 weeks before the game came out. But due to it being activated via steam he could install it using the media but not play it.

I'd have rather been waterboarded tbh.

I have Ryu and Bowser just because they look great, and Ryu is only about £6 on Amazon now.

Thats SanDisk. Don't get me wrong they make brilliant reliable durable cards but Kingston for example are a cheaper example :)

Plus 128gb in Micro SDXC form for a super fast card I don't think £63 is expensive.

So me then? Console on the 3rd. Zelda special edition on the 4th. Least I get to milk a cow teet for a day without distractions.

I keep switching (lol) between really wanting one of these and being put off by the crazy pricing, probability of another post-launch price-cut, and the usual "dumb Nintendo" decisions. I have to admit, the £50 Amazon offer makes everything much more palatable. Brings the games and accessories down to what I'd expect to pay on other platforms.

If I hadn't just built a new PC I'd probably have put an order in. It's the portability that's attractive; I currently stream games from my PS4 and PC so I can play them in the living room while the missus watches TV. It's a rather clunky set-up, but it's better than being subjected to EastEnders or Holby, and preferable to becoming a hermit that lives in the spare bedroom :p A Switch would be a much neater solution.

Thanks for heads up on the code, had already pre ordered Mario Kart but cancelled and recordered with a 128GB SD card and saved a tenner.

Hi all,

Interested in this console I'm in 2minds about selling my PS4 to be able to purchase this. I hardly get to play my PS4 and when I do it's only less than 2 hours.

The switch seems great as I can take it to work & whatnot. But top games ofc won't be featured (battlefield) is it just another gimmick? :/ though I do miss be days of N64 Zelda & Mario Kart & Mario.

So looking at Amazon there is a grey console so I take it I don't need any extras?
