If you enjoy games like battlefield (not my cup of tea personally) then you will end up missing your PS4. By the sounds of it you don't get much to game much though anyway, so won't make much of a difference. If you miss Nintendo games then I think selling and getting the Switch would make sense for you. But only if you think you will be enjoying the Nintendo exclusives.
What is the worst that can happen anyway, if you end up missing your PS4 then you sell the Switch and buy a PS4. At least if you buy one now, you get the Switch for £270 by using the £10 amazon discount code

I've not played a MW/Battlefield game since MW2
last shoot em up was Destiny, but friends were playing at work, and was bored after around 8 hours of play.
they are all playing the new battlefield at the moment wich I dont own.
The last game I played was plant vs zombies graden warfare2.
Witcher 3 (3 hours), last of us, fallout4 6-7 hours), oh and no mans sky(5/8hours) played.
having a 3yo puts hours on evenings so 2-3 hours tops to play.
