*** Nintendo Switch ***

If you enjoy games like battlefield (not my cup of tea personally) then you will end up missing your PS4. By the sounds of it you don't get much to game much though anyway, so won't make much of a difference. If you miss Nintendo games then I think selling and getting the Switch would make sense for you. But only if you think you will be enjoying the Nintendo exclusives.

What is the worst that can happen anyway, if you end up missing your PS4 then you sell the Switch and buy a PS4. At least if you buy one now, you get the Switch for £270 by using the £10 amazon discount code :)

And no, you don't need extras.

I've not played a MW/Battlefield game since MW2 :P

last shoot em up was Destiny, but friends were playing at work, and was bored after around 8 hours of play.
they are all playing the new battlefield at the moment wich I dont own.

The last game I played was plant vs zombies graden warfare2.
Witcher 3 (3 hours), last of us, fallout4 6-7 hours), oh and no mans sky(5/8hours) played.

having a 3yo puts hours on evenings so 2-3 hours tops to play.

Exactly. Why do people think such silly things.

Only game I will be interested in on the PS4 is The Last of Us 2. Will just borrow a friends PS4 and play it. Whereas on the Switch there will be lots of exclusives I want to play.

Only thing I want to play too, I know some one will swap me with the switch for a week while I play it. So it's no real drama. I set the PS4 up, went online to buy games and was just dissapointed. I have about 10 games for my Wii U that has provided numerous hours of entertainment.

**** load of games doesn't mean better.

I don't care about AAA titles coming to the switch one bit.

The Switch will be my only console too. I have a Pc for most 3rd party games that the Switch won't likely get. Not that it really bothers me, I don't buy Nintendo hardware to play Fifa for example, I get it for Nintendo games. Can't beat that Nintendo magic.

I know I keep saying It won't be until summer but I'm going to struggle to contain myself I think :o

Just remember Jake...you're getting married.....

As soon as I got married I bought myself an Apple Watch as a "you don't have to save anymore money" treat, so I feel your pain.

Hehe, well from about July onwards our money will be officially all ours again. So in one way thats a good time to let the Switch launch settled, more games become available, prices stabilise etc...maybe some deals come about.

In other ways...I'll need to ban myself from the internet :o

And what better way to send yourself off..... A Switch!

The joys of being single and throwing money at the internet :D

I have to give credit where credit is due. When I said to SWMBO about getting the Switch, she didn't question it etc...just suggested later in the year as other stuff takes priority.

She knows my hobbies and what I enjoy. She wouldn't stop me from enjoying those :)

Just I had this brilliant idea of sticking a ring on the finger first :p

I really want Nintendo to do well but have a feeling it will be short lived against Sony and Xbox , just hope they dont end up like Sega , think Nintendo really need some good launch titles

I'm going to order it and moan later. I'm excited to play Zelda and then the month after Mario Kart will provide endless hours of fun.

Is the Switch going to be able to charge and use the kickstand at the same time?

Haha, Nope the bottom of the unit blocks the USB C port :D

So a 3rd party stand has been mode. I hope the fix this before release, but I feel like it's too late.

I should qualify my only console comment with that if you have a PC this also covers you for most games!

I still wouldn't buy a switch if I didn't already have a PC, Xbox or ps4 though. I have one pre-ordered and love Nintendo games but I'm still not convinced it'll get proper third party support:)
