*** Nintendo Switch ***

I imagine online multi-play will be very popular with Bomberman.

It's kind of like playing Poker online, or phone sex vs. the real thing :p Bomberman will be OK online, not great, but given that the Switch is so suited to local play and that Bomberman transforms into something amazing when played in the same room as friends, it's a perfect opportunity. In pricing Bomberman this way (and as TNA put, why not make it £60? Why not £100?) it's putting a barrier in the way of that. And regardless, full or near full price for a reskin of a game that's really simple and over 30 years old. Come on man!

Would you pay >£30 if they used the original european name, Eric and the Floaters? :D

I had Eric and the Floaters. Spectrum ftw :) Showing my age here - and i'm guessing yours too. And no - I wouldn't!

BBC B person here, but a friend had it on the Spectrum, one of the few games I wanted on the BBC that never came. But I did get Super Bomerman on the SNES with multitap in the end.

Yeah - the multitap was great. For Secret of Mana too - probably my fave gaming experience to date was playing that over a summer holiday with my bro and best mate.

HAHAHA - I can't believe Nintendo showed a guy having a dump whilst playing the Switch. I know I'll probably do it too but to show it on an advert, that's funny. And look at his face :P

So i plan on using a wired internet connection via lan adaptor when i set up my Switch dock at home. What would happen if i undock it when midway through an online race in MarioKart? would it lose the connection or does it use the same tech as the Wii U gamepad?

not sure about that toilet scene facial expression...

Haha, awesome ad. That will be me on 3rd March :D

Yea, that was funny :)

I will post here as soon as I have christened my Switch and let you guys know about the experience :p:o:D

Some updated info on the Switch on Nintendos UK site

It appears it does allow headsets to be connected directly to the console thank £$%£ for that as it would have been ridiculous if not :p Also mentions Bluetooth 4.1 so it may cater for wireless headphone users (not that they're ideal with the added latency).

Its not all good though, im not sure if this news is new but on the battery specifications it mentions a 3 hour charge required to go from 0 to 100% while the console is in sleep mode. This indicates it would probably take 5 hours on charge if you happened to be playing it at the same time as charging

So no fast charging on usb c.

You can also look at all the accessories on that site and get the technical specifications. The dock actually looks a lot different to what i expected, it's a lot thicker and it opens up at the back. It's really worth checking the link out if you're at all interested in the console.

If that was fast charging i wouldn't want to see what slow charging is like :p

How do you actually get 30% off Zelda? I'm trying to get Windwaker on Wii U, but it still shows as £19.99.
I have linked club Nintendo to my NNID, they don't make this stuff very intuitive.
