*** Nintendo Switch ***

I'll be buying Bomberman, don't particularly care about the price. I've wanted a proper new Bomberman game for years.

Show me an Indie game on PS4 or XB1 that's £40? Indie games are pretty much never £40.

This is simply then taking advantage of the system not having many games at launch.

Some Indie games deserve to be full price though, they are sometimes way better and a lot more entertaining than your AAA big budget games, which are usually all flash and no substance.

I will get both, at the right price however :p

If Nintendo want full price, they should make games worth of it. Make me a new F-Zero (a good one) and I would even pay £60 for it ;)

Have a look at FAST RMX, should be pretty cheap as it seems to be FAST Racing Neo from the Wii U plus the DLC, reviews were very good.

Had it on the Wii U. Was fun for a while, but not in the same league as F-Zero and did not manage to scratch that itch :(

It's the Music that makes F-zero special

That certainly is a big part of it for me, but there is more to it as I like the vehicles, the characters and the racing style push your luck for extra speed. Great game. Imagine a new version with online multi-player? Would be awesome :D

I've no problem with an indie game being priced at or near full whack - it's all about the final experience. The exception to this is paying full whack for variants of existing games - like Bomberman. A simple game that hasn't really changed in 34 years. There's no way of justifying a high price tag for it. It's also frustrating as I can't think of a game more suited to what the Switch brings. Priced at £10-15 it would be a no brainer. As it stands I suspect most won't bother. Remember - Bomberman is only good when multiple people are involved, with 4 or more in local co-op being the sweet spot. How often do you think you'll be in a room with three other people armed with a Switch AND a copy of Bomberman that costs £40?

I imagine online multi-play will be very popular with Bomberman.

Of course if it was to cost £10-15 then everyone would buy it (and furthers my stance that you all wanted the Switch/Switch games to be cheap), but that's not the point is it?

It's that if an individual enjoys a game, regardless of whether it's an old title or a new one, and gets a solid amount of use out of it, then does it matter what it costs?

I knew you would be along after Warbie's post :p

How does that further your stance? You stance seems to be "let's pay Nintendo £60 for any game that they release whether we individually deem it to be worth it or not". That is how it comes across to me anyway.

I and a few others have explained clearly why we would not pay full price for a game like Bomberman or Street Fighet II, yet you seem to dismiss this and keep banging on about why we should be paying full price to support them.

Nintendo is just another company, I have no loyalty to companies. I may favour some a little more over others due to products they release or business practices etc, but that is as far as it goes. If they go bankrupt it will likely be because of not giving people what they wanted and bad business decisions, but no problem, someone will buy their IP's and the games or whatever likely will continue.

All the above is coming from someone who has owned every Nintendo console since the NES.

Of course it matters, it matters to the individual in question. It matters as they will put a price tag on that fun. Here is an example for me:

Zelda Breath of the Wild ~£60 = Hell yes!
Super Mario Odyssey ~£60 = Hell yes!
Bomberman >£30 = Hell no!!!
Street Fighter II >£20 = Hell no!!

End of the day it is down to the individual. Some will be happy to pay £50 for Bomberman. Konami are hoping this is a large enough number hence the price. For those of us who do not and cannot stomach paying that, we will wait until the price drops or be forced to buy it second hand.

Buying it second hand does not mean we do not want Nintendo to succeed however, like you have alluded to in past posts..
