*** Nintendo Switch ***

So where is the cheapest for the pro controller? Think I want to buy one, I like the idea of having the switch unit as a screen and controller from afar.

When price comes down I will probably buy another Switch for gf. Does anyone know if the docks are inter operable (I presume the docks are agnostic to the exact switch device and you can dock any).

I caved and went for the pro controller. I found it cheapest from the official store.

Is there going to be a proper dedicated handheld, or is the Switch it?

And if there is going to be a proper handheld from Nintendo, will the Switch be able to play those games?

The Switch is pretty powerful for a handheld, so I can't imagine many mobile focused games it wouldn't be able to handle. It's not super impressive as a console though, and the price I'm not so keen on. Will have to wait and see.

I think they will eventually pass out the 3DS, and then decide wether to make a more powerful home console or not.

The switch looks like it will be another knife edge console for Nintendo. I expect I will buy it but rather than be a day one buy, I think I will wait a little and catch up later... I still have twilight princess HD to play through on Wii U so my Zelda requirements can be fulfilled as time allows

Not too difficult to see where they got their inspiration from is it? :D

Haha yeah, even down to the music. It just looked like a direct copy. But I loved WW so I'm excited for this! Great to hear Warbie! Although I've got a feeling nintendo won't have the same pricing :D

Haha. No it most certainly won't be. £59.99! That's right, you heard it here first folks! :p:D

You'll have to buy them first ;)

Oceanhorn Amibos - only £10 each. We took content out the game especially so you can buy these to put it back!

Yeah I do dislike Amibos. I've got the Twilight Princess one, so I think that gives me fish? but that's it, no more. Nintendo are already getting too much of my money this year.

I'm warming to the idea of the Switch now, especially as Amazon have reduced the price of Zelda to £48 or whatever it is, and I get £2 off that as a Prime member.

Still not sure whether to keep the pre-order on or not, but I have the time to change my mind.

In terms of peripherals, what are people looking at? I'm thinking long term I'm better off paying for a pair of joy cons and the charging grip. That gives 4 controllers for stuff like Mario Kart, or two decent ones (though lacking a D-Pad, for what it's worth).

I'm in two minds between a pro pad (which acctually looks quite nice) or a set of joy cons. Bloody expensive mind.

£75! I never thought that expensive. Wow. Then you have to get a grip seperate if you want to use it as one full pad. That is insane. £100+ for one pad. Nope. I'll buy a pro pad.

Will be very interesting to see the Switch OceanHorn pricing. Under £12 for the other consoles, £5ish on the tablets...
Surely they can't go more than £20?

It's a game I've been meaning to play as it looks great.

I've made my mind up.
I'll buy a Switch after Mario Odyssey is released.
Its going to be everyone's 2nd games console of choice in 2018, much like how that helped the Wii, just without that instant universal appeal of using a simple Wiimote.
I can actually see it being a hit in the office lunchtimes - no one has really mentioned this, but i know many who would love a 30 minute de-stress smash bros match after lunch.

If I was still in highschool this would be an absolute must have break time item!

Thats why this will sell way more than most 'experts' people think. #notafanboy

I can see this being a big hit a lunchtimes as well. Few in work are interested in this. Lunch time Mario Kart session anyone?!
