I'd bet that Smash will be ported then later down the line there will be a dedicated Smash game

Have you seen the price of the DLC for Smash?
One bundle, Bumper Fighter costs about £30 and if you have one character from that bundle then you have to buy each individual character and stage separately because the rubbish purchasing system wont allow you to. Which costs way more than £30.
£40-45 is the standard price of any new game on consoles, can't see why people are making such a fuss.
So few folks owned a Wii U that MK8 and Smash are essentially new games for most of the buying public.
I'd happily buy MK8 to have it on the go but would give Smash a miss, it's a good game for local multiplayer but solo or online just doesn't cut if for me.
If the rumours are true then you may well be getting Smash from Wii U with all the included DLC, if so then £45 then seems like pretty good deal.
