Pure speculation.

Kobi;30480954 said:Because only current gen consoles/pc use frostbite. The ps3 and 360 don't which this version will be based on. Think of it like an enhanced version of those versions.
steve5424;30481080 said:Is there actual official confirmation of that?
If it can run Unreal engine then surely it can run Frostbite as I am sure it was customisable for different systems.
http://www.eurogamer.net/articles/2016-06-07-fifa-17-moves-to-frostbite-game-engine...That's for the PC, PlayStation 4 and Xbox One versions, anyway. EA said the Frostbite game engine tech is available on those platforms only.

mahius;30481542 said:Simple solution to all our problems. Stop releasing the same old game each year at full price (I'd be more tolerant if Fifa launched in the bargain bin). More funds towards games that actually try, not that I'd expect the budget of annual sports games to be much.
Ubisoft seemed to have learnt their lesson in that regard, so why can't EA?
Broken Hope;30481629 said:What lesson is EA meant to be learning? If you look at the end of year charts every single year FIFA is close to the top.
FIFA sells amazingly well every year, why on earth would EA stop putting it out when it makes them a ton of money?
The FIFA thread on this very forum is huge so people are obviously still playing and paying full price for it.
Broken Hope;30481894 said:It's the usual Nintendo isn't getting a game or the proper version of a game so that game is automatically crap.
I don't like FIFA or football in general but I'm not going to say it's a bad game as obviously it's played by millions of people so it can't be that bad.
Phate;30481949 said:I think people who play it and want to play it on the move will love it on the Switch. No?
I think they'll look at it and go "wheeey footbaaaalllll" and not give a rats if its not the frostbite version or whichever
mahius;30481542 said:AKA EA still don't give a damn about Nintendo and there's pretty much no chance of them releasing their proper multi-platform titles (like Battlefield, Need for Speed, Mass Effect) on the Switch. Most of those run on Frostbite too. Gee, well done on getting the 3rd party support, even if it's the terrible EA. I bet even if the Switch does a 3DS and really gains traction/popularity down the line, EA still wouldn't give a damn.

yes if it can be linked with there FUT in xbone or ps4Sugnid;30481983 said:Why doubt it?
By all accounts, Fifa 13 played ok on the Wii U (the lack of Ultimate Team hurt) and the ability to play some multiplayer undocked will appeal to many I imagine.
I imagine if they slap Ultimate Team on there, that will boost sales greatly.
