*** Nintendo Switch ***

It just doesn't feel like there's a new Nintendo system out in a just a few weeks or so!

I thought the wii u u.i. Was nice and clean and this seems to have taken that onboard too

Sod it, I don't agree with the price but I'm in. I need this console, and Zelda, in my life.

Neon ordered and now I'm wishing the next two weeks of my life away.

I like how the menu transition sounds increase in tone as you proceed through the setup haha. It's such a Nintendo thing to do, and a nice touch.
Haha I think it's cute!

God this is going to be difficult to exist and not owning one for a little while!

I saw that too. Kind of a quickly shove it all back in the box and unbox type thing. Still it looks like a nice bit of kit.
Yeah I'm really impressed. Plus it's come at a great time! We're getting loads of work done in our house, like every room. So we're currently staying at my girlfriends parents house, in a crappy room with no TV and no Internet signal. We'll be there for the next month at least. So I'm happy I'll be able to game away at nights without a care in the world.

2 weeks can't come soon enough :D

I think my wife will be happy when I finally get it - "looking at another Switch video are we...?" is all I seem to be getting at the moment.

Yes I am woman - now pipe down and watch your stupid soaps while I scour YouTube for more Switch videos. haha

Nothing worse than the two hour soap marathon, every bloody night  haha.

At least with the switch you won't need the tv! And the battery SHOULD last through the soaps :D

lololol. My fiancé at one stage was giving me a look every time I was watched a Switch video or a gameplay trailer etc for the Switch. I think she was worried that I was lose sight of priorities (aka, the wedding) - I've reassured her that I'm not!

Now she has accepted the fact I'm going bonkers over the thing and the hype build and I'll watch videos etc

Beat them into submission, that's what I say :D

Ive got one on preorder which i'm still undecided about whether i'll keep or not but i've got a few mates who missed the boat in pre-ordering and have now had their interests peaked by it. What are the chances of them getting one on release day? Are they still available to pre-order for release day delivery on Amazon/Game/Argos etc or will they be just as well going into a shop and buying?

I'd probably be more inclined to keep it if several of my friends picked one up too! Zelda is the only thing keeping me clinging on but not sure I can justify £330ish for it when i've got a wedding and a few holidays to pay for!

I'm more excited about this than anything they've done since the N64. What are you not liking?

N64 was one of my favourite systems, possibly my most favourite, such fond memories.

As a Gameboy / DS successor the Switch is impressive (baring battery life).

I just don't feel it as a home system. It's much further behind Microsoft and Sony than even the Wii or Wii U ever were .

I used to tell myself that yhat doesn't matter, but it really does.

I hope the handheld portion can save it, but the battety life is dire.

I'll follow it once it's released, but I expect a quick price cut lkke the DS. I suspect this is intentional on Nintendos part, similar to how Nvidia price high for the die hard fans early (yes all hardware is expensive at release,but...)
