*** Nintendo Switch ***

For that a single cable would be enough, we where told(maybe to hard of a word) convince it will cool the device and it will use dark magic to make it better. Now we have a device that cant use BT headphones and controllers are not working properly when too far out.

Nintendo never said you could use Bluetooth headphones in the first place, it was a translation error from an interview.

As for the joy cons, am sure it's a fixable issue, likely just needs a patch but not great that Nintendo haven't come out and said anything.

I'm sure the system will become more fleshed out as time goes by in regards to Web browsing and entertainment apps. I'd rather it be a barebones, minimalist, fast gaming device rather than a conventional tablet.

Hoping the joycon's weak signal is resolved, everything else is minor and doesn't detract from the core function of the device.

Then don't buy it. I am buying it for Nintendo games. 6 inch is too small for a tablet anyway, my phone is already 5 point 7 inches and is starting to feel small.

Plus battery is not an issue these days. I got me a power bank recently that can keep my phone charged for two weeks easily. Will even charge the Switch at least 4-5 times :)

Yeah I've only 11 other devices which can run Netflix and YouTube... :)

For me personally I want a great gaming machine, never used any apps on my Vita, they didn't help it in the slightest, lack of quality games killed it.

Some people are happy to carry around another device. Others aren't. That's pretty much what it boils down to. For those that don't want another device, the lack of multimedia support is total ********. It's not a deal-breaker for me. But it does limit the usefulness of the Switch.

It's a Nintendo console though. It'll be hacked to death within a year. By the end of 2018 I expect there'll be a solution, one way or the other.

This. I had two pre ordered....after hearing the store was having issues, games were missing release and imo the underwhelming launch titles (not a massive zelda fan, dont care for it tbh) i decided to give it a year and see how it is after that.

In regards to the lack of media apps...its inexcusable that in 2017 you have a premium priced gaming tablet coming out without the ability to use any media apps...whatsoever. I travel a lot and not having to take another tablet would be a godsend...i dont want to carry £700 worth of tablets tbh.

Im very dissapointed with what ive seen tbh, im not writing it off...just waiting.

No YouTube or Netflix? Really??? They are a staple inclusion for pretty much anything internet related now surely

That's my point, do you need them again?

There was moaning when iPlayer on Wii I switched off the other day, I mean seriously? The numbers of folks using Wii U was pitifully low, and how many of them in the UK actually used it?

I get some people will only have 1 device but I see many people on the train carrying a phone, laptop and tablet or phone, Kindle and a laptop so I don't personally think it's a big deal.

I don't use Netflix or YouTube through neither of my consoles. The Switch will be no different. So it doesn't bother me.

YouTube through the consoles isn't the best unless you can Cast from another device.

I don't want another jack of all trades device. Already got several of those. I want something which plays games. I also want to play Nintendo games.

People expecting anything else will only end up disappointed :)

I've read conflicting reports regarding Bluetooth headphones. Probably fixable via a software update though.

So after all my whinging about the Pro controller Very threw me a £20 off a £50 order so bought one using that, £48 delivered

As for the Switch not being a jack of all trades, i'm certainly hoping we will see these functions added at a later date. Being able to play video would be awesome and I think would see people who currently own a tablet looking to swap over.

Depends how many bt rx/tx are in the unit, only enough for the pads then it will never work. If there's 4 they may not want to confuse matters allowing an option of 3 pads and one headset.

I always carry a cable with mine incase the battery dies anyway.

Ah I see, wasn't sure thats how it worked anyway.

When travelling I always carry wired headphones with me just in case my wireless ones die, so no biggy for me!

If it was a normal home console, I may agree with you, but this isn't, you can play it on the go, you can take it too the garden, upstairs or anywhere for that matter

Do you? Maybe not

Do i and a lot of the general public?

Absolutely. Youtube in my house is huge...spending the best part of 300 quid and it not having it is an issue. Being able to flip from a game to a programme of some kind would be ideal.
