I don't agree with Purple's opinion either. But it's hardly an uncommon viewpoint. Games are more socially acceptable now than ever before. But some people still think they're for kids and immature adults. And Nintendo games attract that viewpoint even more so. If you play on your Switch in public, some people will irrationally judge you. Purple is just one of those people. Ignore. Move on.

I did feel it was harsh laughing at his misfortune in life, probably going too far. It is best to not stoop to someone else's level when they do wrong. But purplesky was being very silly banging on about his point the way he was. Saying it once was enough. Just made no sense coming in here saying that.

Watching more and more videos and I just can't wait now to play BotW. Some of the stuff you can do sounds incredible an ingenious. Coincidentally the last game that blew me away was OoT...

I apologise all, and specifically to purplesky, that was mean of me and shouldn't have gotten personal, as jimferno pointed out we were being linked to some terrible people which riled me.

Sick of people who don't like something trying to spoil everyone else's enjoyment, we get you don't like it, move on, no one cares.

I've edited my earlier post although have been quoted so not much I can do about that.

Let's keep it friendly and on topic.

The only clip of BotW I have seen is some previews and the trailer, for the specific reason you highlighted above

I want this thing to just hit me in the face...

Edge saying OoT has to play second fiddle, I still cant get my head round this...

The only other Zelda that can take the fight to OoT is LttP. Always has a special place in my heart

I honestly think that the amount of people who think like this are going to soon become a minority. Both myself and my girlfriend have been gamers since early ages and it's something we've enjoyed together for going on 14 years now. Likewise I know other couples who are the same and I have a significantly younger cousin in a similar relationship.

The way we choose to spend our free time and the entertainment we consume has changed whether people like Purplesky like it or not.

I don't think anyone cares. My commute to the city is full of professionals many of which play games and what not. I don't think anyone bats an eye lid unless you were watching porn or reading the Daily Mail

If you are buying the game then stop watching videos about it! I've not watched a single video as I know I will be buying the game and it will be so much more enjoyable to experience everything for the first time.

Agreed, half of the appeal of the VC for me is being able to play retro games on the go. I already have most of the original consoles if I want to play the games at home.

The lack of a Dpad is annoying so I'd also hoped they'd release a joycon with one.

I am sure there will be a joycon down the line aimed for 1 person only use with dpad etc.

Price needs to come down to under fifty quid though. Right now it is ridiculous.

I don't think the Ines I have watched have spoiled it but you're right that element of surprise (like OoT) will be awesome!
