*** Nintendo Switch ***

Might sound a bit Heath Robinson but I was thinking of putting some strips of black felt on the vertical runners in the dock to stop scratches etc.

Cant really understand why Nintendo didn't do a similar thing so it slides in smoother and reduces the risk of damage.

Cost reasons I would imagine.

Cheers all

I'm just very careful when I place my Switch back in it's dock. Don't really like screen protectors but I'm one of these crazies that doesn't use a phone case. I have a Switch case though. I'll just be very careful with it.

cracks up laughing - thats the one thing thats atrocious about the switch and its game is the actual price.

And yes I have actually held one and seen it being played - but the best part of £340 for a portable + 1 game is simply awful vfm , especially given the only headline game is on another older console and the majority of tech inside the switch is pretty old (and therefore should be much cheaper)

Price of the games is a complete rip off, and the peripheral pricing ....just cant stop laughing at your original comment

£280 for a home console/handheld that can play the latest and massive Zelda game is cheap. The games aren't but that wasn't the point. If you can't stop laughing then I suggest stop sucking up the laughing gas.

Anyone order one from Very or make use of buy now pay later?

My Mrs just made the mistake of saying I can do that if I want as I intend to flog my PS4 soon and then I can just pay it off but I've not used very before, just wondering how painless it is and how long deliverys take...

:D may not do it but wouldn't hurt either way

Is there anyone who intends to keep their Switch docked like a conventional console? Personally, the portability aspect doesn't really interest me, and yet it's obviously one of the major selling points?

People must be pretty reckless if they're scratching their screens on the dock, there's plenty of room to slide it in there without touching the sides (ooer).
Yeah, not had an issue myself and have no desire to buy a screen protector either.

If you have a Wii U, and mainly play it at home. It makes sense to get it on that instead of another £300 to play this.
This is it...i dont have either but the only commuting i do is in a car. I want to get back into Nintendo but i dont like being behind the curve and like to be part of the conversation.

Is that worth £300 over £150 ?

Maybe. Not sure.

Because it's still running native 720p in portable mode and not 900p.

Doesn't sound like much difference, but it's 56% more pixels.

I'd imagine the majority of people on here are aware of the resolution difference but the GPU also has 2+ times the grunt docked and this should have been enough to make up the difference.

I wasn't aware of this screen scratching issue so i put the protector i got with the case on just in case the same happens to me, i never use screen protectors but the screen doesn't look any worse for it.

So Verys main search page says I stock next to the switch, but once you click on it and go to the items page it says delivered on 31/03/17

So I guess they aren't in stock?

With the Zelda game it says next day available so sounds like they are out of consoles?

I wouldn't buy a Wii-U now unless you specifically wanted the back catalogue. You might as well pony up the extra and get something that isn't discontinued. The line up will only get better over time :)
