*** Nintendo Switch ***

That's a good point, whens the next system update coming? I'd love to see some app support as at the moment, it's literally a device to run Zelda for me lol
If you want something else to play on it I'd strongly recommend Shovel Knight: Specter of Torment and Blaster Master Zero. Both £8.99 and a hell of a lot of fun. The original Shovel Knight is there too if you haven't already played it but it's a bit more expensive.

And apart from a bit of Battlefield this morning to check out the new DLC I haven't touched my PS4 or XB1 since the Switch came out.

Tegra schmegra!

I bought the full Shovel Knight package because I've never played any of it. Perfect game for the Switch.

I didn't actually realise Specter of Torment came with the Treasure Trove. Looks like £8.99 wasted considering I do actually want the original game and other expansions at some point too :(. They should really discount the price of SoT from the Treasure Trove if you have purchased it already.

Yeah it isn't that clear so I asked first on here and Googled it before hand and got some info off a Reddit user who had bought them both. He did actually get a voucher off Nintendo but no refund.

Speaking with the missus. Looks like a birthday Switch is on the cards for me! :D

Well the agreement is, the Switch is my birthday gift. Be it if I get it in May...November...2019, whenever. Birthday is in July btw :p

I'm going to be saving up towards July, so maybe on the day of my birthday I can walk in a store and walk out with a heavy bag and a lighter wallet :D

I'll email Nintendo and Yacht Club games to see if they can do anything for me but I'm not too hopeful.

A few times playing BOTW docked recently the game practically 'froze' for a split second when stuff was kicking off - as in, frame rate to practically nil. Some of the worst slowdown I've seen actually, in recent times, but as it's rare / infrequent it doesn't bother me - but I did notice it.

No problems in portable mode but then I didn't do the same areas.

Fighting moblins by any chance? The taller version of the Bokoblin, there's some issue with their ragdoll physics. The only time I've had the game freeze up for 1-3 seconds has been fighting those monsters, especially if they fall over and down a hill.

Properly tested sleep mode last night, colour me impressed! So I commute to work most days and have been turning the Switch off at night fully packing it away and then turning it on, weirdly it seems to lose some charge doing so, probably during the whole shut down, turn on sequence where it's working hard to begin with.

So I decided last night to just let it sleep off charge. 8 hours later, instantly turned on for the train journey and the battery was at 99%. This could start anywhere between 90-95% weirdly from a shut down and turn on sequence.

Very impressed with how power efficient Sleep Mode currently is and I'm sure as updates are pushed he hardware will get more efficient at just about everything it does.

Going by that there is no need to ever turn it off, good because I love insta Zelda :)
