*** Nintendo Switch ***

So after like 24 hours I put the switch in the dock and played it...3 hours later the stupid screen lifted again. Not just along the bottom but also a bit at the top right?

I managed to pushed most of it down again but it left a weird "hair line" lift about 2mm from the edge, although the edges has gone down. I am going to leave it, if 24 hours doesn't work it will always going to happen.

Which screen protector is this?

Having predrinks at mine on Saturday, about 12 people, so picked up 1-2 Switch. I think it's pricey for what it is, but it's gonna make for some awesome drinking games.

We had it round, just three of us, so much fun to play as a group. Yes alcohol helps :)

What size are the cartridges ? Whoever fit Zelda on something this small is an absolute genius !

Seriously? The game is like 14GB of data.... you can get 128GB microSD cards. Comparing sizes you have microSD at 15mm x 11mm x 1mm, and 64GB is <£20 now. Switch gamecards are 35mm x 33mm x 3.8mm and come in up to 32GB capacity. I have no idea how anyone could think this is somehow genius. In fact it would seem PS Vita had game cards almost exactly the same size in 2012. They were only 2/4GB versions but that shouldn't be a surprise, new process nodes = doubling of capacity in the same size a few times since then gives you 32GB.

To compare the volume, a Switch game card has 26.6 times the volume and 1/4th the max capacity of a microSD card.

I think maybe it's because Zelda isn't just 0's and 1's it's actual magic, you know being the greatest game of all time and all that :p

Vague patch notes to say the least but good news in that the frame rate problems are down to code rather than hardware limitations.

Grey or neon?

The correct answer is, and always has been, Grey ;)

Real men, with large beards and lumberjack shirts = Grey. Sissy girly boys who like to wear skirts at the weekend = Neon :p

Dock sock looks awesome either way though!

I dunno, I think grey is for people who are trying to hide something about who they really are. Neon is for those who are confident and sure about who they are.

As you can see I'm schizophrenic :p

Got my Switch last night and so far only played a couple of hours (system and BOTW updates took a while) and really like it ......although I still think it should have been a tad cheaper (and software rrp is about 20% higher than it really should be)

Really liking Zelda, although Im dying far too often at present (or at least losing hearts without really knowing why) - really enjoying the scale of it and being able to climb / crawl over everything - pity Im alergic to mushrooms though in r/t which laughingly takes a 1/2 point away from zelda

Been playing in handheld mode most of the time and think thats most likely how I will use it majority of the time , still getting used to all the different keys / what they do but really hoping to make some real headway over the weekend

I will only buy a set of grey joy-cons to dismantle and spray in Zelda green :p

All joking aside, I opted for the grey model because I found the neon variant too garish for my liking. Nintendo consoles are seldom taken seriously as it is, without it looking like a children's toy! :p

Edit: Also the grey model blends in well with the rest of my entertainment centre!

Yeah I've ordered grey for that reason as well. I also thought that the neon would be a bit distracting in handheald mode. I want to focus on the screen, not the luminous controllers either side of it! I was umming and ahhing over it though before i made my mind up! They both look good.

Is anyone not using a screen protector and is simply making do with the dock sock solution?

I'm not planning on getting a screen protector. That glass one looks great but I've read that it is much more reflective then the naked screen which makes it a no go for me personally.
