*** Nintendo Switch ***

I know this isn't as important for "Digital downloads" but I think people have to get real, we're looking at a currency exchange rate thats fallen close to 20% against the Japanese Yen since last March which is the important measure for almost all of the Gaming, Tech and electronic goods we buy in the UK. We're going to be paying more for the foreseeable future, and probably even more than currently if the pound falls further.

I remember back in the PS1/2 days when a game was £45 at launch, + 20% and thats close to the £55 mark that we seem to be seeing now.

Appreciate that indie downloads are different but I really think people need to start looking at things through the lens of the 2017 exchange rates to understand why things are dearer.

The e-store offering is truly dreadful :o

I may pick up shovel knight but £22 seems like a lot. Is it actually good value? We've been spoilt by Zelda I think...

Very spoiled. The switch will be a success to me, if we can get 2-3 games a year at this kind of level. With some other time fillers thrown in. It's why I still see the Wii U as a success.

I ordered one of each colours yesterday for delivery tomorrow and after seeing that picture on the last page, I really cannot decide which to return :( I love the neon so much, but I like how sleek the grey is. Oh dear.

It completely ruins an otherwise excellent game.
Will hold off thanks, first I have heard about this dodgy mechanic lol

Maybe they can patch it or something but it seems like something they would have done by now if they wanted to!

Zelda is keeping me plenty busy anyway

Just noticed dock sock has been dispatched today, nice!

Is lego city undercover worth it? I've never played it, reviews look ok and I only paid £33 for the preorder but it's still a fair bit of cash.
Friend of mine really rates it. He says to ignore the fact it's an old game. It's one of the most underrated games around.

Why is Nintendo any different to Sony in this respect (surely the cartride itself isnt that much more expensive than the DVD /BR Sony provide) - Sony are still selling 1st tier games at £40-£45 brand new /initial release , why is Nintendo 33-50% more expensive? (majority of PS4 games are around £40 straight away compared to Zelda which is £60)

It was very highly regarded on the WiiU, I did try it but the FPS ruined it for me, I couldn't play it for long. I'm hoping the Switch version fixes that.

I've put £30 on in credit and Im not sure if I should buy...

A/ I am Setsuna

or

B/ Blaster master, the shovel knight expansion and world of goo.

JRPG's are my favourite genre so I do want to play IAS but I feel I would get more value for money with the three games.

PS4/XB1 game prices were inflated at launch. Always happens. I paid £46 for Zelda from Amazon if you're seeing it for £60 then you're being ripped off.

Its good value but when Shovel Knight first came out it didn't have to extra content. Now it does they increased the price to £22 on all platforms including the PC, Xbox One and PS4.
