*** Nintendo Switch ***

I’ve put over 100 hours into FIFA on the switch, I bought it half expecting to sell it on but it’s brilliant being able to play even a cut down version on the go :)

Reviews for wolfenstein 2 seem very good. I just can’t convince myself to pay £40 for it. It’s £10 or something on other consoles and for games like this graphics are a bit more important. There are also a load of games on my list to play.

Anyone got the octoexpansion?

A bought the Octo Expansion and it's great. I'm only 10 or 15 levels in and it's super fun so far.

I bought it a while ago on the sale and thought I probably wouldn't like it that much but it is surprisingly good. Great to just pick up and play anywhere.

I really want to buy Wolfenstein but the price is a bit steep right now. I'll pick it up second hand at some point.

I agree, I wouldn't be able to stomach that price either. Especially when it's been pretty much £15-20 new on other systems since around black Friday last year

I don't get this? I bought from the rainforest and I'm happy with the price, it's a AAA release, when are they ever cheap? Comparing the price to other systems isn't fair and if you do, then you need to compare to day 1 release pricing. I still can't believe I can play this on the go, even allowing for the gpu compromises, Panic Button have done a great job and deserve to make some money from this.

Of course it's fair to compare the price. If I want to play the game now I can either pay X to get it on another system, or 5X to get it on the switch.

If it was available on the switch at the game's launch then your point would be reasonable.

I'm not really saying if it's right or wrong but it's never going to feel great coming to the platform so far behind the others. Its just that having played it on another platform more than 6 months ago for more than half the switch release price makes it seem like really bad value.

Tech limitations aside, you will get the same enjoyment out of it as I back then so the value is there for a first time player in many ways

I hear it's been well done all things considered and I agree a good team deserves that support, i do wonder what the sales will be like though. Fingers crossed many give it a punt for their sake

Not sure what to get next. Still on hollow knight for now but thinking maybe captain toad or one of the many physical released indie games. Darkest dungeon looks quite appealing for example, maybe owlboy or Yoku's island

Got in on the Octopath Traveler pre-order at Smyths for £34.99 so looking forward to that!
