The advantage is that a lot of people have been playing it for days already as the street date was broken in a lot of places.

Well time for bed for me. Smash was a lot of fun, but I'm not a fan of the heavily nerfed rolls. I enjoyed an hour of the Spirits mode and some of the ideas they had for matches are very clever.

Marth is still a top character in this version.

It's so difficult to play Smash with anything other than a GC pad, but the Pro controller is better in the long run.

Edit: you can't taunt online as it hurts people's feeling. Ffs.

Had 30 minutes or so with Smash this morning playing through Spirits mode trying to get my head around all the adds and options. Was certainly fun and there is a ton of content even in single player. Will give online a go tonight.

Why were you expecting one? No one reliable had made any comment or rumour about it.

I'm enjoying World of Light on Smash Bros. The online is identical to Smash 4 by the way in terms of netcode, and the settings are effectively random. I hope they add a proper "For Glory" mode in later.

Going to collect Smash from Argos in the morning, and since I have the work Christmas party tonight, and a busy day tomorrow I can't see me getting to play much until Sunday at best.

If it helps the CPU is harder in this one than in previous smash bros unless you abuse the AI flaws.
