*** Nintendo Switch ***

That's a faulty switch rather than a faulty joycon.
:( bah got it all bloody set up too! Well hope smyths got more stock then as the one I got was last one

Thinking it can't be switch now, in handheld mode both joy con's work zero issue, put it into table top mode and only used right joy con on its own which gave the issues and it worked fine for 20 laps without fault.

Could interfence when offline mp be a cause?

It's caused by a dodgy communications chip inside the switch. You will probably find that your WiFi signal is poor too. I made a big post about it last year.

I just returned it smyths didn't question it, no stock so got smash bros Consol as replacement, mk8 was digital so not sure if that's lost now or on my account still for new Consol

If you have any problems with mk8 digital on your replacement Switch, call Nintendo and they should sort it for you.

Anyone buy US E Store cards here? Whats the cheapest and most reliable place to get them? It's an Xmas gift for someone in America.

Played Smash handheld last night for the first time in well....years. And my god I got rusty. I lost to a Lvl 5 Pickahu :o

But I blame joy cons. Trying again tonight, docked, with pro controller. Poor workman and all that :D

Felt AMAZING to play a Smash again.

Smash looks great. Haven't owned a Nintendo console since the SNES. Happy to wait though for the switch refresh. What are we looking at - mid 2019?

You never know with Nintendo. Personally I'd buy one now and then sell it if you want the new one.

So when are we playing?

Is smash online fixed yet? Still haven't unwrapped my copy since last week, must be getting old!

If you set your MTU to 1500 I have found private matches to be much better after the recent patch. It's hit and miss against randoms as many people are using wireless and not increasing their MTU.

Probably 60-70% of my matches are good enough for me to punish blocked moves on reaction. They also made it so that you get 1v1 if you ask for one now.

Are the fighting commands in smash like other fighters? Mk/sf? Or much simplified and it's more about timing/ positioning?

Also a pro controller essential to be competitive?

They're much more complicated than SF, but easy enough so that anyone can get into it.

I play in handheld or with the Pro controller without much difference.

Oh really ? I was competitive to a degree with mk but eventually couldn't keep up with the speed of the better players.

Do you tend to play on tv or small screen?
