*** Nintendo Switch ***

I just don’t get how people can say Zelda isn’t a switch game or a Wii U port. It was a launch title and released at the same time as the wii U version. It’s not a port or a remaster, it was a brand new game to both consoles.

This happens all the time when new consoles are released, it’s just not normal for a first party game. Normally for first parties they have a huge install base on the old console and they want to push the new one. Given no one owned the Wii U it was not exactly a concern to Nintendo that releasing the same on the old console would canabalise new console.

Also given the attach rate for mario kart (over 50% at last count) which was also one of the Wii Us biggest sellers I think the majority also disagree with you. :D

Flinthook and Minit are two games on my watch list that are currently in the new sale. I guess I'm increasing my back log !

Edit: maybe only Minit.

Just recommending Baba is You again, been playing little else for the last few days and it sits alongside Braid and The Witness as one of the best puzzle games I've played.

Its up - £16.99

Have pre-ordered and downloaded already. For a brief moment I thought I would be able to play it early but then the "checking to see if you are able to play this game" showed up and that was the end of that dream.

I think the cheapest I've seen it was for about £12 on steam a while ago. So not a bad price to have it in the go.

Because it was built as a Wii U game and doesn’t take advantage of the extra power of the Switch. It was devised as a Wii U game, developed as a Wii U game and had the Wii U not tanked it would have solely been a Wii U game. They have not said anything related to an actual proper "we developed this for the Switch" Zelda game.

Mario Kart 8 is a great game. I'm pretty sure that if every generation you just re-released the top games from the previous gen they would sell well again. That doesn't mean its not lazy and a cash grab. I mean Mario Kart 8 was lazy in the first place and then they sell it again at full price on the Switch instead of developing a new one.

I have no idea why everyone gives Nintendo a pass to print money for IP it has already sold you once or more and in many cases for more money than they charged you first time around.

Microsoft: No Xbox Live SDK On Switch “For Now”, But “Expect More Xbox Live-Enabled Games Like Cuphead To Come To Switch Over The Next Year”

So by that I am thinking Ori and The Blind Forest. It has to happen! Would double dip if so.

It's not just Nintendo though...

TLoU
Uncharted
GTAV
Halo
Gears
Borderlands
CoD4
Dark Souls
Dragon's Dogma

That's just quickly off the top of my head. Everyone is at it and we lap it up. This time though almost no one actually owned a last gen Nintendo console so for many it's their first time with these games.

Although I agree with the list, many of these were rereleased at a discounted price I.e. not 50ish. Nintendo for the most part tend to go full RRP with their remasters I think?

Yeah I get that and some were full price and some weren't. As I said off the top of my head I am not going to research it lol. My point is that they are all re-hashes of what we've already had.

On an unrelated note I though the Nindies Direct was probably the best one we've had. There's some amazing content on the way. Looking forward to a lot of it.

So i ordered a switch last night from currys ebay store, £250 with Mario kart 8, it was listed as "bundle" but i am hoping it is the boxed version of the game as i dont really want the game as i had it for the wii u, so was going to trade it in.

What games should i be getting? im thinking 100% Mario Odyssey, maybe zelda.
