Looks like Switches will be hard to get again come this Christmas and they still keeping the 3DS going with Pokemon.

3DS won't be going anywhere soon, it shouldn't be either imo.

Hmmm, if Pokkén is out on Sept 22nd, Splatoon 2 in July and ARMs in June. That leaves August, Oct, Nov & Dec if Nintendo want to keep this trend up of one "big" game per month.

Mario Odyssey, XenoBlade Chronicles 2, leaves room for 2 others.

Interesting...plenty of IPs to choose from too!

It's been a thing since the second Smash Bros game (Smash Bros DX aka Melee) in Japan. They're just using the name more in the West now.

Edit: And Mario Bros Deluxe back on the GameBoy Color if you want to count that.

MH: XX is August but so far as we know Japan only. Their release pacing is spot on so far. E3 should fill in some of those blanks.

I've never played a Pokken game before but it looks like it could be good so I'll probably give it a go.

It's been out on the WiiU for a while and is an excellent fighting game made by the Tekken team (hence the name).

Nintendo really dropped the ball on this one. I was greatly anticipating the announcement of Pokémon Stars, but instead we get another glorified Wii-U port! I've decided to sell my Switch, since it's effectively collecting dust.

E3 will probably consist of Mario, more Wii-U ports, and perhaps the virtual console. Either way, it won't be substantial enough to change my mind.

They're not going to announce a fully-fledged Pokémon RPG on the Switch after the announcement of Pokkén Tournament, are they? Even Ultra Moon/Sun will be exclusively for the 3DS.
