Nope tearing was fixed with vsync, what wasn't fixed was stutter and input lag. Witch Gsync fixes.

While OT i see this debate like mantle was,, Mantle users say you need to see it to believe to see the difference while others argue they about this and that .
End of the day shankly seems to not need it so it will save him money because he wont be upgrading to a gsync/freesync monitor as it offers no benefit to him

I be upgrading that's for sure. I want 1440p 144hz display and I'll happily wait for Freesync to try it.
Hoping it don't add input lag to csgo like Gsync does.

The thing is all mantle does at the moment is give you some more fps in a few titles, noticing the difference between 90 fps and 100 fps in BF4 is impossible. It also only really benefits older/less powerful CPU setups.
GSYNC you can actually see working in most games, in before shankly tells me mantle is smoother even though he says all his games are smooth anyway

Well if you are waiting for Freesync, you are obviously spouting your rubbish in the wrong thread, as this is the G-Sync owners thread. I suggest you give up because you are just annoying the folks who own G-Sync. I created this thread for those that own it or at least have justified questions on the tech and not to start G-Sync Vs Freesync. There is many other Freesync threads you can talk about how Freesync adds no lag to CS:GO but this isn't the one. You have had 6 posts deleted from this thread already, I don't think you want anymore?

By me yeah to keep the other thread on topic. Calm down guys. I think what shankly has written has just been interpreted wrongly. Sure I know hes not a fan of Nvidia, or its tech, but hes not daft enough to start a fight intentionally in a pro Nvidia thread. Lets all agree to disagree and pick this up again when freesync is launched, where hopefully shankly will give us his opinion of the technology we have come to love.
Fair enough. Now best to leave it there and let this thread remain for those of us who like the tech? Thanks bud
