Pleasantly surprised at Nvidia. I thought they would have come in $799 and left the 1080 price alone.

But doesn't that make you wonder how good Vega is going to be? Or has AMD disapointed for too long?

Been waiting since sandy bridge and 7950 times to upgrade (used to upgrade every gen but got wise to that). With Ryzen and 1080Ti coming out, this finally looks like the year.

Should be a pretty big boost.

My trusty sandy served me well.

Vega may be near the perf of 1080Ti/1080 but at a much better price. One of the video's I watched said AMD had designed Vega to be inexpensive (in GPU terms).

Folks, sorry if this has been answered but as I understand it, this will be released 10th March.
Any idea when OCUK will be accepting preorders?

Nvidia say next week (6-10th march) for the FE. Unless partners have been working with nvidia it will likely be a few weeks until we see custom AIB cards and coolers.

Pre-orders I'm guessing should be coming shortly .

They have learnt this time not todo that and making them cheaper than the AIO cards which is a good thing im planning to water cool it longterm so don't mind too much
