**Nvidia GeForce GTX 1080 Ti Thread**

My 980ti does 1500mhz so will be interested to see the results vs a stock 1080ti and a custom cooler 1080ti, hoping for twice as fast.:D

Looking at the Heaven and Firestrike benchmark threads a 980Ti at max clocks vs a Titan XP at max clocks has the Titan XP at 55% more performance. I am expecting pretty much the similar performance differences between the 980Ti and a 1080Ti.

What will be interesting is to see if there is any difference in overclocking between the Founders 1080Ti and Custom 1080Ti's. The 1080/1070saw no real change so I am wondering if this will also be the case with the 1080Ti too, ie a trait of Pascal.

Just ordered my EK block for this. Surprised the EK store had stock! I wonder what these cards will do on custom water?

NB: Also checked my pre-order on nvidia store and it seems to still be active...

I imagine your looking at typical pascal clocks as all of them seem to top out at around 20150-2150 MHz with few samples either side of that, looking at the core on 1070,1080 and Titan XP. I am most curious about the memory and how that will overclock though as it's higher then the rest including the Titan XP out the box in terms of speed.

Never mind those poxy FE cards, get them custom cooled please

+1

Only reason to get FE cards is for the cheapest cooler you can ripoff and stick on a waterblock. I'm looking forward to the benchmarks, come on 4k60! Fingers crossed there's some interesting custom cards out there. I'm kinda tired of always going with MSI Gaming for the quietest, yet best (on-air) overclocking cards. I'd like some competition among the AIBs on their designs.

MSI GTX 1080Ti Gaming X for me. Can't wait.

Speak of the devil lol. Except you can expect to be paying like £800 for that sucker. Cos MSI has now gone Asus (tax) with all their GPUs this gen. Such a shame, MSI Gaming used to be the best value for money among AIBs... all the more reason for other AIBs to make semi-passive cooled cards. Just can't quite beat the quietness of that Gaming X cooler (other than Asus Strix, but they don't tend to OC as well).

Nice to hear all the GPUs will be in to order on Friday. I'm going to wait till all the custom cards and Vega have released though. I hold out a smidgeon of hope that Vega might offer me an alternative, however tiny the chance is that it could beat a 1080ti.

After last nights worry seems it was a problem with their systems, my order has reappeared this morning and I got a reply from CS regarding it going missing.

Thank you for contacting the NVIDIA online store.

We apologize for any inconvenience if it is not showing on your account.
It may be a result of the system maintenance that we had today.

Upon checking the order, it is not cancelled and is already submitted.

The product that you ordered is a pre-order and has not yet been
released to the public. Although we do not have an estimated release
date, as soon as it is available your order will be promptly fulfilled
and you will be notified via email.

If you purchased via credit card, your card will not be charged until
the product has been released and shipped.

This takes the worry off a test payment not being taken for me.

We know via Titan XP that the Pascal silicon seems to top out around 2.1Ghz atm (might go higher after a refresh) 2so to my mind its not so much about can an FE achieve similar OCs to the AIB cards but more importantly can it sustain the OC with enough power and avoidance of thermal throttling.

I am also wondering whether to just go for the 1080ti FE. I tried several custom GTX 1080's and the FE version, and I saw no real OC or performance increase in the custom cards compared to the FE card. If the silicone lottery isn't on your side, does it really matter how fancy the card is?

Indeed. Are there no custom bios's for the Titan XP? I have one on my 980ti to get round the limits.
