**Nvidia GeForce GTX 1080 Ti Thread**

I think all of them are pretty much the same, well made, power phases, MSI was 8+2 Srtix has 10+2 not really much difference at the end of day, maybe some extra features RGB. etc, Gigabyte has 4 year warranty on the extreme...choices

I would like to try EVGA but they taking to long and i dont want to wait that long.

I would like EVGA too, but don't want to wait either!

From what I gather, the following are closest to shipping: Asus, Gigabyte, Zotac, and EVGA.

I'm having a hard time choosing which one! Any recommendations?

I would say Zotac first, then EVGA. Zotac did not disappoint yet while EVGA had their share of issues. This being said, EVGA seem to have very good CS based on what people on these boards say, I never had an EVGA card myself so can't comment.

I would say pick the card you want and wait for it, don't just buy whatever you can find first. You'll more than likely regret it. It wouldn't hurt to wait for reviews to come out first as well.

Seems our Dubai friend got lucky

Zotac is good as well they evolved nicely in the last few years.

I was considering the Zotac, but someone highlighted the power usage is 320W vs 250W of other cards. How much would the running costs work out to be? Is it a big enough difference to care about? I'm after a balance of performance and power consumption.

Power consumption is to be announced amp extreme, where did you hear 320w ? but its beastly 16 + 2 power phases madness :) 2x power boost maybe ;)

Looking to get a 1080Ti in May/June time when we have a bit of spare cash. I'm happy to wait until the custom cards are out. Just a case of waiting for reviews and deciding which is the best all rounder!

Zotac cards tend to have a higher power limit hence power boost on the cards. Not to mention a really good power delivery. So cleaner power to the core and memory which in theory should allower for a higher overclock. These cards will be voltage limited tho.

Zotac have focused on core this time, they normally push memory higher but have not bothered, as such Inno3D has fastest memory clocks, Zotac fastest core clocks and Asus a balance of the two.

If you want more than 11,200MHz, just overclock it, most 1080Ti do 11,800-12,200MHz memory overclocks and Zotac from previously experience always king the memory OC due to superior and cleaner power design which benefits the memory OC by 50-100MHz, very marginal but to those who are benching it all counts or to those who just want damn fast card to play games on. :)

My pair of Zotac 1080 Extremes were fantasic tbh! Just a shame that one went pop and I had to change to another brand :(

The cooling was out of this world though, an easy 5-6c cooler on the top card compared with an eVGA FTW (the top cards get HOT in SLi !!)

Big chunky ass mofo's  :D

Thats good, every little helps, shame you cant push for more. Hey look at this way its a nice excuse to upgrade some hardware. :D
I can get more but no way to lower vcore voltage (locked by Dell) so it gets hot. Will try for 4Ghz with stable temps. Hopefuly wont bottleneck but will see.....

Will there be any WB's for the Zotac cards being released? Also what is their warranty like for putting WB on the cards?

I wonder how meny people with FE cards are going to be doing the SHUNT mod ;)
I'm way too scared to try anything like that.

I'm also an ex electronics engineer used to soldering complex head so I'd be able to do it easy enough but then I wonder if I need the extra performance vs potentially screwing the card.
