**Nvidia GeForce GTX 1080 Ti Thread**

I honestly can't wait for a couple of years though for 144hz 4K IPS HDR monitors. Acer and Asus are already priming releases for this year, but they're priced at $2000...tell me one person who will actually bother with that :o:o

The trouble I have with that is, one buys it and 1-2 years later OLED monitors come out with non-"fake" HDR monitors making the £1500+ monitor old news. If I am going to spend big, it better be with proper HDR and OLED. My opinion anyway.

Naah, couch gaming is uncomfortable as **** nothing beats a good "PC" chair, no matter if you use a controller or KB\M, I have a Nintendo Switch hooked up to a TV but i cant get used to the couch, the problem is the image quality on the monitor it does not look so good as the TV.

I am eagerly awaiting the MSI 1080 Ti Gaming X, but is there a reason why it is priced £60 higher at Overclockers than other retailers?
That is a massive markup.

I like monitors...but I also like TV's. But, which is best...there's only one way to find out...figggghttttt

Monitors - Major downside is the pathetic size (that 32" 8k still makes my blood boil) and the fact that they're only really designed to be used from close up, so no remote control-like features

TVs - Major downside is they won't ever go above 60Hz and don't quite have the response times of monitors. Other than that, there's not much variety in form factor (mostly 16:9 screens at either 1080p or 4k these days, no 1440p or selection of ultrawide)

And that's it. I use my monitor like the TV of my room. The downsides I mentioned do affect me since I sit a fair distance from the screen, but otherwise it does the job just fine.

Supply and demand. New card, not enough to go around but a lot of people want it. Oh, and the BS MSI tax put on 1000 series cards these days.

I'd hazard a guess they've done that to quell demand. Last I heard MSI haven't been very communicative according to Gibbo and therefore ETA is a bit up in the air.

Well i know one thing.... if my 2x gigabyte Fe cards are not shipped tomorrow from OCUK then i will probably cancel my order.
i have been waiting since last monday when i ordered the in stock parts, i mean all there doing is putting waterblock and back plate on and testing the card it shouldn't take this long...

Got more clarification from msi on those who want to watercool there 1080ti's.
Ticket:
Cooler removal.

Content:
Dear Troy, Yes, the original cooler can be changed to different one. As long the original cooler is put back on the card for warranty claim. However, our engineers will examine the return condition of graphic card. To avoid the warranty is void, ask the retailer for help for installing a watercooler instead of stock coolers. If you have any questions, please don’t hesitate to contact us. Thanks. Best regards, MSI component service team.

So really the same as other vendors.

There are a few in stock elsewhere, like the Sea Hawk, G1 and the Aorus can all be purchased and delivered elsewhere. It would be good to get an update otherwise I wouldn't be surprised if people look elsewhere.
