**Nvidia GeForce GTX 1080 Ti Thread**

If the GTX 1080 Ti is about to be announced on March 10-12, March 1st is right about when we should sell our GTX 1080s.

Would like a 1080 Ti but feel Nvidia have just priced themselves out of the market for me with their high end prices. I got buyers remorse with the £600+ Nvidia GTX 1080, and quickly passed it on. A £800+ GTX 1080 Ti would likely make me wanna jump of a bridge xD

I have fond memories of the old days when circa £500 would get you a top end level card. Now it's £1200 for the best Nvidia can do.

I'm not sure AMD will be priced much better either. My high end GPU days might be over..

Bad times xD

Buy a second hand high end card from the last gen. There's always some youngster who thinks they need the latest most expensive graphics card for their epeen swinging forum sig, who will sell their card to you for a loss....to themsleves. Your gain is their loss :) There is not a huge list of games that a 980Ti can't still perform in.

Yeah this may be the way forward. I know I want a Zen based build, but GPU wise I may just pick up a used 1080 or something when the latest and greatest get launched.

Why?

WHy on earth are you going to sell your 1080 for perhaps a £100 loss to then buy a card which is only 10% faster and will cost £200 to £300 more?

Are people mental???????

Found this out too many times :p. I'd rather just go ultra-high if really required. I'd have to screenshot and look for the difference in most games.

Has Titan X Pascal in sig, thinks people are mental for possibly losing £100 in re sale on a GTX 1080.

Fails to see irony of calling people mental regarding money.

So in summary, yes people are mental here.

I'm personally sticking with the 1080 and waiting for whatever series comes next but you have to remember this is an enthusiast community :)

I suppose if you really want to have something shiny all the time and can afford it, why not.

The real winners will be those who buy a half a year old card for a nice discount, they won't complain for sure :D

same, I'll be sticking to my 1080.

I almost sold it though, it was on the MM for quite a while and nobody showed any interest so in the end decided to keep it and stick with it for as long as it can play games at ultra quality on my 1440p screen.

I have a feeling that I made the right decision in the end.

Waiting to see what the 1080ti does...single card replacement for my existing 295x2.

The 1080 just doesn't offer enough of a change for the money.

Of course, if I do switch to Nvidia, then the monitor I want to get will have to be gsync.....costly hobby this, isn't it!!
