Looks like someone scalpers on auction sites would end up loosing because there is going to be a lot of un bought GPUs and tech gets old.

Nope, not even the bay got it. I think nvidia literally didn't manufacture them in time for release, but went ahead with the release anyway. Total BS as I was only trying for the FE on release

It'd be interesting to see how many cards were available and how many were kept back for bundles and things. Ocuk seem quite transparent though with stock
what a lot of these scalpers dont understand is ebay keeps records, in time the tax person will come knocking, it maybe yrs down the line, but eventually it will catch them up
They are not interested unless you are doing 10k plus they have bigger fish to catch. It is only when your turnover go`s over the VAT threshold that you hit the radar and red lights start flashing.
did report several on facebook as running a buisines and all of their sales got pulled the next day
Not gone, just disabled to halt traffic. Hit F5 a few times over the next 15 mins and it usually comes back.
I got a 3090 FE for MSRP!!!!!!!!! Thanks to those who suggested the use of Telegram Went for a 3080ti but they'd gone instantly so figured I'd try my luck with the 3090 and even after jumping through several Captcha hoops and having to enter card details manually and verifying payment through my banks app it still went through as far as I can see as I have email confirmation from the seller.

Somehow the 3080ti had gone when I hit the link but I did the same as you, bumped up one and got the 3090 instead.

i also managed to get a 3080TI FE. with the alert set up on telegram. saw the 2 3090's pop up and saw the 3080ti pop up afterwards. and managed to see a buy button. while trying over the last 2 weeks for both the 3080ti and the 3070ti.
while looking at the 3080's and 3070's back last year but was hoping to get the extra Vram.
been watching this forum thread for the last 2 or 3 weeks and attempting to grab during those times but just didnt see any buy buttons. or straight to out of stock / sold out.

Congratulations. Honestly I think you got a result, for the difference in FE pricing I'd much rather have the extra memory on the 3090 than a 3080ti (but then I do video editing as well as gaming)...
