that's all up to Gibbo and what tools we manage to pull together to allow us to get them into the hands of gamers. The most likely outcome at this point is that we offer them to those in the 3080 queues first but there's technical blockers to overcome on that front.
Honestly I dont blame you for doing that but i do wish i had entered those queues if that is what you're considering lol
Exactly, I think waiting it out is a mistake tbh, I've been waiting it out since the 20xx cards came out and it's gotten me nowhere at all.

Is there anyway for the PC industry to get behind trying to illegalize scalping?
There was a change.org petition for it a while ago mainly for 'consoles and other electrical goods' that only got a mere 20 or so signatures.

You can make something illegal but it still won't stop scalping. Pretty sure that happened with event tickets.
Maybe the intel GPUs will help things, but my guess is they will have low stock and overcharge for them (I would)

Yeah and then you end up with mass crowds pushing and trampling on each other just to get a gpu. Wasn't there an incident last week at microcenter or best buy where this happened? Saw people getting pushed up against walls, its tragic!

Some of the big players in event ticket scalping have been busted recently, but you're right it doesn't seem to have stopped it much. The only reliable way I've found to get tickets these days is to get in on some preview/pre-release program. American Express seem to be pretty good for that, selling to their card members a day or two ahead, and failing that joining a band's fan-forum often helps.

Insanity lol, their buy in price compared to their sell price says it all. They're probably swamped with 3000 series cards from people cashing inI think he means their BUY prices. They want to make 100% mark up at the moment
.It wasn't that long ago when they were buying in 3070 FE's for £1020!
I actually think they just reacted to the launch pricing of the AIB cards (from some resellers, not all). They were buying 3080 for over £1500 in some cases which is not viable when Ti's started lower than this.
Unless things start to settle down (certain Ti's have already gone up in cost by 10% in a week
) I think they'll probably end up having to move back up to tempt sellers.

That's me done. What a waste of 1 hour and 20 mins pressing F5. I didn't really want a 3070ti but was hoping they would do a drop like last week and try for a 3060ti or 3070 FE but I haven't seen anything at all drop. What a sad state of affairs.
