NVIDIA GeForce RTX 3080Ti to be "available" on June 3rd, RTX 3070Ti on June 10th

I'm on a 970 (fleabay stopgap after my 290x failed), and the 30xx series was my big upgrade for the next few years.

It's getting really tiresome now. By the time prices stabilise it might be worth waiting for the 40xx.

i've been thinking the exact same thing unfortunately. I think if you're not someone that got a 30 series card already you're probably better off waiting 1-2 years for the prices to stabilise

because participating in refresh spamming every couple of days/weeks is very boring and tiresome as well frankly

...by which time we will all have been conditioned nicely for paying huge profit margins on the cards :(

Yeah and then you end up with mass crowds pushing and trampling on each other just to get a gpu. Wasn't there an incident last week at microcenter or best buy where this happened? Saw people getting pushed up against walls, its tragic!

Indeed. You fix one problem only for another one to rear its head from the darkest recesses of human nature. We're a sick little species, tis true.

Just nabbed a EVGA 3080 XC3 Ultra from OcUK German sister site. Regular 3080 non-Ti, price was around €1700 / £1462 which is still high but is about the best price I've seen in ages from a retailer with actual stock in a long time.

(I assume it's okay to mention this particular retailer as they are sister companies?)

Also as it's a EU retailer, no addition VAT or import/customs duty gick to deal with as I'm shopping from Ireland.

I'll stomach the price because there just isn't anything close to MSRP, and I'm absolutely sick of wasting my time each paper launch day. No more fruitless F5-ing on launch days for this guy!

I can finally complete my new build - 5950x, Crosshair VIII Hero, G.Skill 3600 32GB, dual custom loop (only one loop currently set up), O11 D XL.

Really hope all you guys get sorted out soon, it's been painful following the forum posts since September last year with all the hopes dashed with each paper launch day.

I bought an msi gaming 980 Ti a couple of years back and i still think it does ok at 1440p in most games and older games at 4K

they are more now used than when i bought it must be better than these card you cant even buy even when you are there on the dot at release time

Nearly £600 for the cheapest model. I just cant push myself to pay that much for the equivalent of a 2060 super that cost way less than that before the 30 series launched.

Also slower than the GPU in the XBox Series X,whose scalped price on the famous auction site is less than £600!

ocuk for the gamers

Apparently for the wealthy gamers! Consoles for everyone else!

Gamers are paying twice the RRP for these GPUs. So basically unless you are rich get a console. Even scalped consoles cost less than an RTX3060!!

The cheapest is £579!!
it wasn't the cheapest but the cheapest oversold from over fifty to minus thirty units in two minutes, faster than our site can respond. Bots! what do you want us to do? we can't sit on the stock forever, we can't exactly sell them all over the phone and we can't do forum drops on so many different lines, that would take days to set up.

Rock, meet Hard Place! I'm more sick of this situation than you, I guarantee it!

It's alright, we're all patient over here
Whatever method you guys settle on I'll accept it (while trying my hardest to get my hands on a 3070ti or similar lol)
It must be a whole lot harder for you guys in the middle of this situation
id hate it, knowing im selling my stock to bots run by scalpers and miners

Yeah it sucks that the market is like this right now but it is what it is. Hope you enjoy your new GPU! :D
