If yes to the following then yes.

1. Exhaust all heat out the case.
2. Wanting the nice green glowing GeForce led.
3. Running 2-3 in SLI, this is best cooling solution, especially for 3-way
4. NVIDIA branding, cooler, backplate etc.

Otherwise any other 970 will do. :)

a couple of questions before I make up my mind.

Will the cooler have GTX 970 logo on it like the 980? (meaning it wont be blank on the titan cooler)

Do you guys make these 970 titan coolers yourselves? Which reference 970 did you use to make these?

Had a zotac extreme and Asus strix today on 970, neither could do beyond 1400MHz core. :(
The zotac did manage 8800MHz memory stable though!

Then my Inno3D 970 OC does 1580MHz on core which is on a 760 PCB with 2x 6-pin connectors.

Of course perfect GPU, perfect ram and uprated power would be the perfect card but you need all three to score big, so buying the uprated cards improve your chances, but if the silicon is junk then nothing else matters.

Yes my 970 G1 was a hero as it smashed over 1600MHz core and does 8200 ram.

But for core clocks the silicon is the biggest factor and that is a fact!

You got any links to benchmarks to compared to buddy for your G1?

Does anyone elses card boost lower when running DSR at 4k?

At 1080p and 1440p my 970 hits 1500Mhz boost, if I turn on DSR for 4k it can be as low as 1250Mhz boost??

Anyone elses card do the same?

Mine was boosting to my OC of 1600Mhz on all DSR res's. I will double check tonight for you.

How are you finding the DSR? For games like Dayz I leave it on 4K as it looks better with no noticeable performance hit.

Games that I have noticed it, I have moved to 1440p.

I know its already been mentioned throughout the thread, but has anyone managed to get around the SLI voltage problem yet? I'm getting the same thing 1.250 on the top card and 1.168 on the bottom card (even if I swap them round). Limits my max o/c to 1440 core :(

I've tried increasing the voltage in afterburner, but that only takes it to hover around 1.193.

SLI bridges come with the motherboards because each motherboard has PCI-E slots at different spaces from each other. I know it's a pain, I think graphics card companies should include a generic length one that fits most styles of motherboards.

Just got a couple of 970s in SLI.

Really feeling annoyed at the minute, all of my new games don't seem to be supporting SLI properly and I am getting generally average performance. I mean why on earth have nvidia put there logo at the start of Shadow of Mordor and then don't put out SLI support.

Just fired up the new sleeping dogs definitive edition, cranked all of the settings up thinking it would be a breeze. 24 fps!!!! I mean wtf. Second card not being used at all.

Alien Isolation is cool, but who needs SLI for this.

The funny thing is my £270 ASUS RoG board came with a flexible SLI bridge that works for 2 or 3 slot spacing, why a £270 board can include a 99p accessory that will work on basically any MB but a GPU costing the same can't is a tad silly.

It's easy to say that it's always been that way, but it isn't really a valid excuse any more.

You think that's bad, in order to play Defense Grid 2 I have to disable SLI or it causes graphical anomalies, but to disable SLI I have to close Battle.net client as that uses the GPU for some reason, so I lose my conversations lol.

On the plus side SLI GTX970's destroys WoW :D (well at the moment, but I reckon it will in WoD too).
