A lot of chatter but havent heard that many clocks.

Mine (MSI) boosted 1329mhz outta the box. Nothing major yet but added a fan profile & +100mhz to core, 1429mhz seems a breeze after benching & gaming 30 mins. No adjustments to volts/power. I always take it slow :)

Anyone buy the Zotac GeForce GTX 970 Gaming Edition? It a really nice looking card, but I never owned anything from them before. No reviews yet either.

Which budget 970 to go for??

Is the Palit any good, is that reference?

Or is there something better with a better cooler for a bit more cash, I'm so confused having been out the gpu market for ages..

What would be a good setup for running 2 gtx 970's ?

Looking to upgrade from an i7 920 - ex58 mobo.

Considering my options as I think gtx970's will be something for me to consider :)

Guys is there much difference between the MSI and EVGA SC?

EVGA is £7 more than the MSI and is currently out of stock but from what I guess, has warranty with the card - not the person, good RMA service and you can water cool it without messing up the warranty?

MSI seems to be getting good clocks though, i've seen a few at 1400 boost?

Also OcUK only have the ACX1 not ACX2?

ACX2 is not launched yet, anyone advertising ACX2 is a mistake.

The ACX2 versions will be the SSC and FTW which are yet not launched.

so gigabyte or msi ?

im guessing most have msi and preorder for gigabyte will lead to a bit of a biased result.

the cooling looks a lot better on the gigabyte.

Gigabytes cooler is more powerful so if your overclocking and don't mind noise it has cooling advantage and the flex display technology.

If your gaming I'd buy the MSI though, best bang for buck and so quiet! :)

P.S. Gigabyte typically boost higher I believe as it runs cooler.

One card installed an tested with Batman AO's in game benchmark.

Basically one MSI GTX 970 gives almost identical scores to a GTX 690 at 1080p.

First one +200 on the core and it boosts to 1504, stock volts, auto fan, 110% power limit.

Going to install the other one now.

Max temp was 58.

I switched from SLI 670 2gb cards. I had 2 970's turn up this morning. I've started with 1 and the performance is insane at 1440p - i mean I use vsync as so I only need 60fps. I've found you can drop the AA to just basic 2x in things like BF4 and the campaign runs really great.

Tempted to put the other in but don't think I even need it?

These MSI sku's are sublime clockers, stable 1581Mhz at stock volts, only +110% pl.
Gotta get another one. :)

BTW is there any software to monitor vrm temps (haven't seen anyone talking about it on 900's series) or simply budget vr module's lack of i2c doesn't support this feature?
Prolly you could do wonders with modded bios and on h2o.
