Nvidia GTX 980 Owners Thread

Heaven handles a memory oc better than firestrike, and firestrike handles core oc better.

for me its he other way round. Memory can be boosted on a lower Core OC in Fire Strike but 151 is the absolute limit on AB, 152 and it will crash out every time. regardless of memory.

Heaven is 173 core on AB and memory slightly lower.

Doesnt matter. I figured it out what was causing it. Whenever I have shadowplay enabled its causing this 3005 mhz lock. Disabled it, restart, fixed. Must be some kind of shadowplay bug or something else is causing shadowplay to react like that?

Anyone else who uses shadowplay get any issues similar to mine? Could someone try shadowplay enabled and see if it affects them?

K found out that the latest GFE beta is the problem causing this. So if anyone out there using Shadowplay do not update GFE to the latest beta release. Stay on the 2.2.2.0 version, Shadowplay will work fine then!

Heres mine, an OCUK built gtx 980, feeling very Manli now.. er I'll get my coat :D

Broke the 2000 barrier on a Single 980 GTX :D

However for gaming usage I'm sticking with 1580/4000

The Palit Super JetStream is £420 [not here], but the cheapest is not always the best as that KFA2 proves, it clocked like a champ but got hot and one of the fans sounded like it was several years old not a few weeks. how about the INNO 3D Ichill?

I bought one last week, but it was £479 on "This Week Only" and the first one I bought last month for £469 and it came with a free keyboard!

Great cards, but £509 is a heavy hit.

got my standard gigabyte 980 for 429.99 with the free keyboard deffo a good price back them wouldn't pay 509 at all way too much.

On a side not my gigabyte is not running at 1549mhz boost and 7906mhz memory and only hitting 53c these cards are amazing.

So my KFA2 SOC has gone back and I have a refund [crappy knackered fan]. I want another 980 but the prices have all gone up, which one should I go for?. anyone got the Palit Super Jetstream?

Dude, there was 2 980 G1 in Clearance yesterday £369.00, keep you eye on the clearance section

I got a EVGA 980 SSC for £370.79 delivered. 5 yrs warranty after I registered. Bargin.

My EVGA 980 seems to have an issue with resuming from sleep, and if the monitor goes to sleep I need to reseat the DP cable to get my display back.

I'm also getting some NVKDLM errors (or whatever) every now and then causing me to reboot. I'm running a 100mhz OC on the core with no voltage increase, is this likely to cause it?

Have you tied removed the OC and testing it without?

Dirty rotten Scoundrel:eek: Nice buy! Are you happy?

Ecstatic especially after my recent monitor nightmare. Didn't realise how good the G1's were. Fan idles at 12% when both get to about 60-70c the noise level is incredibly quiet. One is a Rev 1.0 and one is a Rev 1.1 not find out what the difference is yet. One has ASIC of 72% and the other 79%. Not really had chance to play with them yet OC wise. Only slight oversight is the LED logo is blue and my case inside is red themed! :) Wonder why they were sent back as apart from the box being a bit dusty they are fine no sign of use on the fans or anything.

Yes I am happy and it has restored my faith in Gigabyte GPU's ! :D
