Nvidia GTX 980 Owners Thread

My Asus Strix arrived today, so ill test it over the weekend. It should be a solid upgrade from the Asus 680GTX I had before it.

RXP Andy, can I ask what cpu you have? I see you have moved to a gtx980 and would like to know if you have a high spec CPU than me? Have you seen a massive jump in FPS?

I've got a Intel i7 3820 (X79) at the moment. Yes, I've seen a huge improvement on FPS. As a example when using the Valley Benchmark / Firestrike my frame rates on average have more than doubled.

I'm looking at 980's and the difference in price is quite a lot. What are we getting with a £550 model that we can't get with a sub £400 model? I mean core and memory clocks can be increased via Afterburner in 10 seconds. :confused:

This, not sure which 980 to go for yet there's a big jump in price.
 
Any one with the Galax/KFA2 980 SOC? What's your card's idle fan speed? Mine seems to be stuck at 52% even with a temp of 21oC!
