I highlighted the important part for you. He saidmost FreeSync screens don't work even on AMD card. He didn't ever say not a single Freesync screen ever works. If that was the case Nvidia wouldn't support Freesync.

The criteria are important because Nvidia only officially support Freesync screen that meet Nvidia's criteria + QC. Out of the 400 monitors that were tested, most failed simply due to the criteria. Huang said absolutely nohign about whether the failed screens form the 400 worked properly on AMD GPUs or not, that has nothing to do with Nvidia.

I'm using Huang's wording. How many times are you going to twist what he said?

again completely wrong as he said they dont even work on AMD cards, again i will reiterate for you that all freesync screens work with amd cards regardless of the range.

Huang is claiming most=at least 50.1% of FreeSync monitors don't work on AMD.

I believe he was doing what he does best, marketing AS for sales, dropped a bomb and bored/curious/gamer/enthusiasts AMD users with FreeSync panels might switch over to a 2060 for screenshotting RTX or above and maintain FreeSync.

Got to laugh sometimes, to some AMD users Haung's the devil incarnate, most NV users at least in this instance probably realise he's trying to rip the pee out his competitor in a final blow of defiance because Nv's techs just taken a hit having to support FreeSync.

However some in here will believe anything as he's their idol, Haung could announce what he's going to do is great for your complexion-take a dump on you and they would be gushing all about it telling us it's amazeballs.

Why should freesync have to adhere to nvidia's criteria? Nvidia are the ones seeing what way the tide is turning and jumping on the adaptive sync bandwagon, not the other way around. The fact that they disqualify a monitor because it doesn't enable g sync automatically is an utter farce, do they think their users are that thick they can't open the archaic nvidia control panel and turn on a toggle? Just another BS piece of criteria so Jensen could prance about on stage and spout his crap of only 12 out of 400 monitors passed their tests.

which ever way you twist this statement it is factually wrong, they all work on AMD cards. theres not 1 freesync panel that doesn't work on an AMD card, which isnt user error as in a lack of understanding of how to enable it. so how is d.p right?
show me some evidence where freesync monitors dont work on AMD cards, ive got plenty that say they do.

He was saying what Jen said and what D.P wrote was correct. They may well all work on AMD cards but that didn't stop Jen from saying it. Jen is a marketing salesman and I have seen people from both camps say tons of stuff that isn't true (and find it funny after) "Overclockers dream"

Mate, we as consumers should be smart enough to see through the BS and not let it suck you in. I take all of those CES/AMD/NVidia talks with a massive pinch of salt. They are no better than wccftech

im merely trying to point out to D.P that jenson never referred to nvidia own criteria in his statement, since he specifically targeted freesync screens on AMD cards. i understand more than most that all companies lie, ive pointed it out a few times already.

be careful with the gsync stuff working on AMD cards, youl start a a new issue

Fair one

And in truth, most of the feedback I have seen is that Freesync works well on NVidia cards. Freesync 2 will be a bit different, as like GSync, it uses hardware to hardware.

Works well on my new LG 34GK950F at 144hz/3440 (even in HDR)

Not surprising I suppose, it has a Gsync equivalent so same panel :cool:

(but mine is equipped with DP 1.4 connection instead)

its a great move by them, if they had done it pre vega, they would have probably cleaned up all of the 290/390 users waiting for an upgrade. i even said so back then.

AMD telling porkies about their own tech wasn't a competitor smack down but realise a few cant levvy criticism Haungs way by using a Nv in house claim as an example.

WeMost of us can comfort ourselves that the consumers spending power won, they picked FreeSync over G-Sync, that's all that matters going forwards.

Download the Nvidia driver GeForce 417.75 hotfix as released by NVIDIA. It fixes a G-SYNC issue where a G-SYNC monitor may display random desktop flicker when an HDMI monitor is also connected to the same graphics card.

Freesync 2 is no different to Freesync 1

All Freesync 2 is a label on the side of monitors that states the following
This monitor must support LFC
This monitor must support HDR

Check ! You are Freesync 2 ready

The actual Freesync remains the same.
