There are other pictures there but I picked out 2. Ive got a touch more definition than these daylight pictures permit.

Bear in mind I havent been to the gym in 3years! All I am doing at the moment is body weight exercises, and only 1 set of any exercise first thing in the morning. Single leg lunges, situps, close grip pressups, and single leg calf raises (on the stairs). When Im doing bicepts I do either a hammer barbell or e-z curl barbell, for 2 sets of 20 reps. Ill do dumbell curls with the back of my arm supported on the bed (to stop it being a shoulder exercise).

I cant really think of a suitable place to do widegrip pullups, so cant work my lats.

Im 5'9, 11.5 to 12st.
It was a bit disappointing that I went to the trouble of taking some pics and absolutely no one made a comment. I dont care what u say, any comments would be appreciated.

As far as needing carbs with protene, its really not a problem. Typically Id be straight home after a workout and eating a balanced meal. Protein shakes are not my bag, and if carbs is that important then Id guess it would be in it already.
Well if you were taking your bodybuilding seriously then you'd be missing out greatly by ignoring carbs immediately PWO.

1000lb leg press aside, the guy was a monster in normal circles; I just find it hard believing that 2 people in a overclockers forum are equally humungous as this guy. Ive also done 10plates a side when I was 14.5stone. Its wasnt a walk in the park!

For a pics thread there is a lot of talk and not many pics!
If you're a regular on here then you should have no reason what so ever to doubt S7yl3s or Morba, plus Morba has put a pic up in this thread. Bit of irony there as you're moaning about people not noticing your pics eh? ;)

Do not take this the wrong way but you've posted pics up in a bodybuilding thread, titled as it is. You then claim you've not been to the gym for 3 years!! A few press ups and calf raises on the stairs does not a body builder make. I'm not trying to belittle what you do, I can only go off what you've said, if you take it much more seriously then you need to say so.
You don't look like a body builder and I'm not meaning that in any bad way. You have a decent physique and low bodyfat and you should be proud :) but again it's hardly a physique to draw comments from bodybuilders if you see what I mean?

This is a body building thread on an Overclockers site not a steroid wholesale site, and previous to my long break from the gym I spent 8 years training 3 to 5 days a week. Some pictures come from people who say they just started 3 months ago training.

Yes Ive lost a lot of weight but I dont feel that my pictures are Im anyway out of place in this thread.

Yes its ironic I missed someone's picture, Ive only just found this "lost" part of the forum and only went back 3 pages, plz dont sweat me about it! :rolleyes:

Well I don't see the need for the rolleyes....

I never said your pics were out of place, just trying to reply to your post about being disappointed and you'd appreciate any comments 'good or bad'? Maybe try and say why I thought you hadn't drawn comments?

If you can't see what I was trying to say and want to get sarcy about it then that's upto you mate.

Theres some good pics in this thread but I think it should be re-labelled 'guys who like to work out' as I dont think anyone comes close to a bodybuilder :eek:
Theres a couple dudes that look like they are in good shape :)
Having said that I doubt there are many people on here that would really want to even look like a proper bodybuilder, veins popping and all. I guess if people are like me something like MensHealth or similar is the aim/?

Megatron, you keep asking people to back up actual science when your source is one random lifter from a gym?

Back your claims up like you've been begging everyone else to do. There's no need to be so naive, do a little reading and you'll realise the people here are only trying to help and give correct advice so that YOU reap the benefits.

That depends how you look at it mate, ok no-one is huge on here but they are all INTO body building and working on it. So do you need to be a certain size before being called a body builder ;) Im sure even coleman/cutler/arnie all started smaller than they are now :p

Did you go through every page on this thread to get that list?

I would love to see a routine you used heavily

20 mins cycling... 20 mins jogging... low weight high reps curls in the squat rack... LWHR bench press... 10 mins cycling for extra tone at the end?
 
And as for comments on your pictures:

You have a good base to start on, and from the pictures it looks to me as if you could build some meaty wheels.

Do you have any pictures from when you were training.

The longer you've spent lifting the more you appreciate the time and effort it takes to add lean muscle and/or lose fat. There's a respect between people, much in the same way as boxers, that to achieve a certain level of development you have to make certain sacrifices.

I'm pretty sure you've got the point, comments like that are pointless and only show you up as being a n00b.

Richdog, keep up the good work and prove this guy wrong.

geezz...the guy only said rich was skinny...which he is btw....he wasnt malicious about it, he didnt take the pee...whats with everyone jumping on him?

what happened to constructive criticism? or are we all just gonna post pics and stroke each others egos?

Why on earth did you just have to bring that up again after it's already dead and buried? Do you not read post dates? And the point was he wasn't remotely constructive (surprised you can't see that to be honest, can't be too perceptive)... hence why he rubbed people up the wrong way.

I know i'm skinny and it genuinely doesn't bother me or the ladies I date... so lets just let it lie. Will be posting another pic soon, made some good progress the last month or so.:)

Yes I do read post dates..You apparently do not..If you did you would realise that not only is this thread just one month old but that it has been active almost constantly throughout that period. Nothing in here is dead and buried. Ill bet that if I had criticised the guy, you wouldnt have given a damn...funny that.

If you dont want people commenting on you, dont post your photos..Simple as...and I disagree that it wasnt constructive..I too started from a less than admirable position when i first started going to the gym...The comments slapping you on the back and saying how great you look are not the ones that help you. The ones telling you to work harder and that you aint all that great are the ones that really work.

Me saying you are skinny is not a derogatory thing...Its just a statement of fact. If you really do want to become a serious bodybuilder, youre gonna have to thicken that skin of yours mate...

You've really got the wrong end of the stick of you think i'm here to get back-slapping and nothing else... in fact i'd say thats an ill-thought snap judgement if i've ever seen one. The guy was not constructive... almost everyone else in this thread could see that, people who body build regularly and have a lot of experience with these things such as MTA99. If you couldn't then that doesn't make you right, it just makes you less perceptive with less sound judgement than others have displayed. :)
