OcUK Dieters Progress Thread

If you mean me Leo I have to get my weight under control as i am borderline type 2 diabetic, so less weight is better for me. I know myself that i only tend to lose weight from exercising as well as dieting so here i go.

I meant fella don't worry too much if you weight isn't going down in great spurts like others on here.

I didn't know you were diabetic or anything like that, was just trying to say not to worry about putting the weight on as depending on your exercise regieme it could be muscle.

Sorry if i caused offense or anything

You didn't cause offence Leo as I should have said in first post reasons for the diet and exercise regime :)

I will lose what i lose along the way but 7lbs is a reasonable goal as i know i am able to lose this, as lost 4lbs in 2 weeks a few months back following the same regime i am going to use, just this time i wont quit.

Well I seemed to have made a breakthrough ! :)

I'm down to 8st 6lbs which is the lightest I've been for a while , it seems the eating more food and drinking the green tea has given my metabolism the boost it needs

I went to Circuit last night because I didn't go to Pump on monday and also went on the Cross Trainer afterwards so I had a good cardio workout

I'm finding I work MUCH harder in a class because I lack the motivation to push myself and also I enjoy doing some cardio afterwards so I'm going to join the gym and increase the classes :D

My timetable will be as follows :

Monday 8pm-9pm : Body Pump

Wednesday 7pm-8pm : Circuit followed by 30 mins of cardio ( 15 on bike & 15 on X-Trainer)

Thursday 7.30-8.30 : Body Pump Followed by the 30 mins of cardio again

Will also pop in some more cardio as and when I have the time or am stuck for things to do .. once I feel a bit happier with my body I might chuck some swimming in on the weekends

Just wondering what our resident gurus thought ? :)

I haven't had a chance to update my staus in a good week or so.

I'll do a better post later on, but I'm now down to 269lbs, meaning I've lost 8 lbs in 4 weeks which I'm happy with.

I wouldn't call myself a resident guru but sounds like you're making great progress. Aslong as you're enjoying the classes and the exercise afterwards then you will hit your goals :)

I had a bit of a naughty week as I turned 21 so have been drinking and eating a ridiculous amount, and with naughty things like cake and chocolate thrown in so have put on 3 pounds :p Back at the gym again now though and eating healthily so should get back down again :)

Piggy - fantastic! Am glad it's started working for you. You sound so much happier! Adding the swimming when you're ready should really make a difference too and any little bits of cardio you can slip in will only help.

Thanks for everyone's input :)

If I'm not doing anything tomorrow night I'm going to start on the pump but otherwise I'll get cracking on Monday :D

SCM : I know it's good for me but I hate rowing :/ ... It just knackers me out too much :(

Ohhh great work Piggy! It looks like you are definately on the right track now. Keep that metabolism up and the weight should fall off nicely. :)

Just do a little to begin with Piggy as i was the same at first as 500m would knacker me as well, but slowly it does get better. Also drop the resistance to a 2 or something as it wont be as hard then.

I used to do 5 mins rowing and would hit about 950m but I hate it and just cannot face doing it :(

Lmao I seriously thought you were going to say oats then. I nearly fell off my chair in astonishment! :D :p

nah don't be daft .. bloody orrible things :p

I do like porridge with something sweet in it but it's enough effort to pour cereal in a bowl and add milk in the mornings let alone arse about with something that needs cooking !

I'm really not a morning person :o

rowing is great :) I currently do around 3500m in 15 minutes. The thing is the resistance drop it down to the 2-3, but whatever you do dont put it any higher than say 5 as that is the resistance of water and you won't really get any benefit.

But try to get your average 500m time as low as possible :)

Piggy - WELL DONE! I'm so pleased for you. Glad that the increase in calories has worked for you. Bet you feel 100 times better now it's starting to go :D

I STILL have a runny nose, but I'm sick of not gymming because of it. I'm just breathing through my mouth all the time, and stopping ocassionally to blow my nose now :D

Takhisis - I used to think that too until I started forcing myself to get up a bit earlier so I could eat breakfast. I'm just used to it now, and actually feel worse if I get up late and miss it!
