OcUK Dieters Progress Thread

yay for hugs ! :D

Half a pound is sod all but I just feel a little meh because I didn't lose any the week before and now this week I've put some on .. I just want to try and see a loss .. hopefully it is muscle .. I know my biceps are getting quite firm and my tummy is better :)

The gym are changing the studio timetable on the 1st of April and they are changing the Monday pump class to a legs bums and tums ! bah ! .. It might be quite good for me but I wanna do my pump twice a week :/

They've also cut the circuit down to 30 mins but apparantly it will be twice as hard so hopefully I won't lose out :)

I might have to get off my butt and do pump on a sat morning :o

I always do my classes at the weekend in the morning. Apparently exercise before your breaky (on an empty tummy) is much more effective! :)

Going to change my routine when I get back. I'm going to start doing some interval training on the running machine. Looks impossible, but should be a fun challenge, and time will go quicker than just slogging along at the same speed for 20 mins.

Well when I say morning .. the class is at 11am which really isn't silly early but it's a saturday and it's before midday :o

I think I'll just pop it in as and when I can and not beat myself up over it if I miss it .. If I do a saturday that means I'll be doing 5 classes a week

Forgot to add in my Ab Attack class so my timetable will be this !

Monday : Legs, Bums and Tums ( 1 hour )
Wednesday : Ab Attack ( 30 mins ) followed by Circuit ( 30 mins )
Thursday : Body Pump ( 1 hour )
Friday : RPM - Spinning ( 45 mins )
Saturday : Body Pump ( 1 hour )

Well if that doesn't do it nothing will !

I forgot to weigh in this morning so I've just done it (only just had lunch too *biffer*)

RAR!! 3lbs down this week! I couldnt go to the gym all weekend due to poorly rugrats but will go again tonight, then first class tomorrow night

I think this is the lowest I've been since I was about 20ish I think....a way to go yet but RAR again!! :D

I must admit, I thought I had posted in here, sorry my bad. Well at xmas the company evening meal allowance had made me weak and I had piled it on :( It was time for a sort out, out with the booze  and generally cutting out the junk and eating better. I started hitting the gym at around mid Jan, since then I've gone from about 74 down to my current 68 ish.

At the moment its settling around 68, the fat is still coming off at the moment and some sort of shape is evolving at the same time... but the six pack is still under the four pack :D

My current routine consists of:-
Monday - 30min burn on the bike, great fun
Tuesday - warm up then weights - upper
Weds - 30min burn on bike, then a speed mile on the rower
Thurs - warm up then weights - legs

Weekend - break

I'll keep everyone updated as I get on. Just reading through the thread and there is some impressive loss going on, well done all :)

Good grief thats incredible weight loss! Well done!! And have a *hug* for the miserableness, chin up fella :)

Oh. My. God.

I've just done my first ever class at the gym......40 minutes spin and 40 pump. Any illusions of fitness I may have had have been blown to smithereens. UGH! I wouldnt mind, but the room was full of middle aged ladies with full slap, flinging weights around like they're made of paper without breaking a sweat. Meanwhile I look like a radioactive hippo.

I've put my name down for next week.

Well done to you for going regardless of how much you struggled.

This sounds like a cliché, but believe me its gets much easier, quicker than you would think.
Love the radioactive hippo imagery :D

I started a diet at the beginning of feb, lost a fair amount of weight now..

But I have recently given up and I am eating everything in sight and have stopped exercising..

How do you keep motivation up

I find the excersising loads of fun, love the food I'm eating at the moment, I like looking good, like it when women check me out, and all this just puts me in a great mood.
To me, that so much more worth than scoffing down a chocolate for example. I also kept 2 vices i.e: red wine and popcorn :D

I stayed quite strict for 5 weeks, now I have given up lol.

I found it so easy to say no to bad food at the start, since saturday I have lost this ability :(

Oh well guess I need to find it again, I made some excellent progress to, hope it is not undone!

I've had the odd wobble, but I only need the tiniest clue that a bit of weight has gone back on and I kick myself and get back into it. I havent made this much progress to just pile it all back on again at the first sign of trouble.

I hope you regain your motivation carvegio. You sound like you've made lots of progress already, it'd be a shame to take some backward steps :)
