Its my main cardio so I try to make sure that for as long as I can, I do it properly.

It's good for your bum apparently. Which is why I use it.
 
I seem to have put a few 'go me!' posts on here lately..this is my last one I promise....I'm so chuffed I have to tell someone!

I had my first PT thingy this morning, which was ace in itself. Then I had my blood pressure etc taken (all good) and was weighed on a proper weighing jobbie *gulp*

In the past year I've lost 4 stone! 3 since September! I made her weigh me again just to be sure, my scales at home are about 5lbs out. Well on the way to becoming less of a radioactive hippo and more of a large water buffalo!

Go me!!!

I'll stop with the posts now. Promise

No, and people don't seem to be able to use treadmills on an incline properly either. They think that walking on full incline, whilst clinging to the top of the machine is actually doing them some good. If you made them let go and swing their arms instead, I bet 90% of them would collapse and fall off the back within minutes :D

Ah yes that is another fave :)

But not to knock them, at least they are in the gym doing something which I have been patchy with the last week or so.

Punished myself for my lapses last night though :eek:

Well I did my sitting in front of the mirror and crying again today :(

I've been weiging about 8st 5 - 8st 5.5 all week and now this morning I'm back up to 8st 6.5 :(

I just don't understand it .. I didn't do my Pump last night because I have a baddy belly but i'm ok today so I'm going to spinning tonight for the first time

The only thing I can think it can be is water weight from my muscles repairing themselves from the workouts I've done in the week because the weight IS dropping back off almost the next day

I'm going to change my weigh in days BACK to mondays , by then the water weight ( if that's what it is ) should have dropped off :/

I've been keeping a food, drink and exercise diary for a month or so now.

Because I've been off all this week I ended up forgetting about it, so I've just gone thru and wrote "Too much coffee, too much food, not enough exercise" on every day I missed :(

Aww Piggy :( Putting the actual numbers aside for a moment, how do you actually feel? Do you feel fitter and slimmer or more toned? Is it maybe feasable for you to put the scales away for a while and concentrate on how you feel rather than the numbers? Chin up honey, you're working really hard, the thing is your weight is so ickle anyway that you losing a pound is a different kettle of fish to a bigger person losing one.

Hoorah. Maybe she'll listen to you as I'm sure she doesn't listen to me when I say it :p

She's looking much closer to what she wants. I know it, she knows it and other people have said it too :)

By the sounds of your excersize routine, you are doing just fine.
Remember, all those spinning classes n stuff, you will be BUILDING muscle, which is heavier than fat, so you might weigh more, but you "slim down" regardless.
If you want to burn pure fat, work out your target heart rate for fat burning, and keep it at that when you are doing cardio's.

Fat is a slow burning fuel, that needs a lot of oxygen to start burning it off.
When you go all out and hard, and get out of breath, not enough oxygen gets carried through your blood to burn said fat, and your body starts using the glucose etc in your blood, which is fast burning fuels.
Moral of the story, your doing just fine, even if you pick up a little, and if you wanna burn some pure fat, go slower but longer :)
 
How many times have I said this? Put those bloody scales away. They're doing you absolutely no good whatsoever. Bin them... PLEASE!

You're doing quite a lot of weights (pump etc.) so you're bound to be building muscle.

In your heart of hearts I really believe that you know this though. You KNOW you're doing the right thing, and you KNOW the reason for the little weight gains. Just have a little more faith and confidence in yourself and believe what other people are telling you. Desmo has said that he and other people have noticed a change. BELIEVE THEM. They wouldn't lie to you.

Please please please stop stressing. If I lived closer, I'd come over and confiscate those damn scales.

I know I am getting somewhere , it's just sooo frustrating when I feel happy that I'm seeing 8st 5lbs ish and then come weigh in day it goes up to exactly the same as the week before :(

Feel a bit poopy because I had a colposcopy yesterday ( google it if you're feeling brave... They took a biopsy !) which has left me with period like pain so I really don't feel up to doing any workouts .. so I've missed out Body Pump last night and also will be missing Spinning tonight

Think I'm just going to write this week off and start afresh next week :)

Chin up, you are doing yourself a lot of good! It's coming off, but you're just replacing it with muscles. I seriously think that Desmo should at least take control of the scales and only let you on once a fortnight.

Also, if you're giving up on this week and starting a fresh next week, that means you can't weigh yourself because it doesn't count :p
