OcUK Dieters Progress Thread

Wahey go Piggy, definate difference there, surprising how much difference half a stone can make.

What sort of dietry sacrifices have you been making out of interest, since we ALL know your exercise regime :p

I haven't changed THAT much to my diet ... I love my food too much :o

I've swapped white bread for wholemeal bread
Cut the sugars in my tea/coffee from 3 to 1 and 1/2
Reduced carbs in the evenings - having more veg/salad in place of potatoes
Snacking on snack a jacks/fruit/carrots instead of crisps
Drinking Green Tea in work instead of coffee
Generally paying more attention to fat/sugar content in food

I'm very strict with myself during the week but not so much on weekends

I probably could have lost more weight by now if I went on a strict diet but I know I wouldn't be able to stick to it. I can quite easily carry on eating like this even after I've hit my target .. it's not hard to stick to and just takes a little more effort watching what I eat instead of just chucking stuff in my gob :p

And that's the secret to keeping weight off: healthy eating and not dieting. You've done everything absolutely spot on and I'm really proud of you!

Well I had taken the week off from the gym and any form of healthy eating. Kinda keeps me sane and recharges the batteries. Got back in hte gym yesterday and feeling the pain today. Also started back on my diet yesterday which consists of 5 meals a day, mostly oatmeal, rice, tuna, eggs, protein shakes. Gotta say that oatmeal tasted really bad in the morning. I'll get use to it again though.

162lbs at 5'8 3/4 today. Lets see where it goes.

Review of the weekend - 1 bottle of wine, 250g cadburys whole nut

Yup can see my weight loss plan is working :o :(
Lightweight, one bottle of wine, 2 bottles of ale, 3 cans of cider, 2 cans of lager and 1 packet of chocolate digestives. :(

Phew!

Just got back from running the Race for Life in the City of London!

Such a good feeling! Had to walk a bit of it because I couldn't breathe thanks to a very swollen throat!

Despite that (and the fact that it is 24degs here!) I managed a personal best of 30.44, which before now I have been doing the 5km in 38mins, so the end clock must be wrong or the cheering from spectators worked wonders!!! :D

Thanks to everyone who has sponsored me... a knackered 'after' pic will be up here very soon!:

Shower now then chilling in Greenwich park

*CLAPS*

Well done BB !! :D :D

I don't see anything wrong at all with treating yourself at the weekend ..

Yesterday I had a bowl of chips and then a curry later on in the evening ( with yet more chips )

Today I'm going for a BBQ

As long as you can stick to something 80% of the time ( ie during the week ) I'd say you're doing well :)

Just did an hour of Body Attack followed by an hour of Legs, Bums & Tums ..... I'm not so sure it was a good idea

I'm ******* knackered !! :o

Didn't weigh this morning, will do it tomorrow morning instead :)

8st 3.5lbs this morning ..

Bah ! :(

Maybe I'm retaining water from the training last night and also I'm a bit constipated :o
