OcUK Dieters Progress Thread

Well I haven't lost a lot of weight the last few weeks but I'm sure i've lost a fair chunk of BF

I've lost an inch of my waist in 2 weeks and also had to buy loads of new undies yesterday because my size 10 ones were falling off me :p

I'm now pretty much a size 8 :)
 
I've put on a fair few pounds since my last weigh in blah. So time to get serious and am going back onto the Atkin diet as of next week. This has been the only diet combined with exercising that has actually worked for any length of time for me.

lol. I remember the days when my 42inch trousers were literally falling off my 32inch waist and I had to nick my younger brothers belt. :eek: I ofcourse no longer wear such ridiculous clown pants.
 
Okay well havent really been part of this thread yet but I have been trying to lose weight.. well not weight but get skinnier and build a bit of stomach muscle by doing sit ups and stomach crunches etc. Just weighed myself this morning, and I am down to 76kg which is just under 12 stone :) I am about 5ft 10in maybe a bit under! I am pretty happy because 6 months ago when I left to travel to Australia I was more like 14.5 stone! This is with out really making an attempt at a diet, just changing my eating habits, so I am pretty chuffed :) I want to get my waist back down to a perfect 32 inch waist, at the moment its 32 in some brands of clothing, not in others... for some reason all 32 inch waists arent the same!
 
Well the scales were a pleasant surprise this morning ..

Spent the weekend at my parents so eating loads of rich foods, missed out on my 2 hour saturday gym session AND I'm blobbing so retaining water ...





8st 3lbs ! :)

I reckon I'll get down to about 8st and that'll be my limit as I'm building a little bit of muscle mass as well :)

I should be at the gym right now for my body combat class but I went out last night and have a bit of a hangover :/

I'll be going to pump at 11 though :)

Measurements on May 28th :

Boobs - 34"
Waist - 28"
Hips - 36"
Thighs - 22.5"

Today :

Boobs - 34.5"
Waist - 26 "
Hips - 36 "
Thighs - 22.5"

Nearly got an hourglass shape :) ... My thighs don't seem to be dropping at all but they aren't very fatty :confused:

They are quite firm! I do have little fatty bits up the top on the inside but those will probably be the last things to shift :/

Pebs - chin up honey .. just keep going and you'll get there I promise :) We all take little steps backwards but keep going and it'll soon turn into a step forwards x
 
Weigh 14.17 Stone or 198.4 Pounds

Got 3 weeks left till my holiday, Hoping to lose a stone by then.

Im gonna bike to the gym after and hammer the weights and the rower, then bike home again.
 
Today I broke 235, which is what I was gunning for. My new updated graph.

I've also switched to a regimented 5 meals a day diet of about 2500 Calories. Started the diet at 239.6 and weighed in today at 234.2 - 5.4lb in 12 days, but I expect to weigh in higher tommorow. I much prefer this balanced diet over just eating no carbs whenever I feel like it. God, how I missed bread and how I got sick and tired of sausages. :D
 
erm.. ok, i dont usually talk about my diet, its not my sorta thing i guess to talk about.. but i cant seem to actually get rid of anything more. im 5'10'', and not sure how heavy, apparently about 67kg... i lost a stone about 2 years ago when i was 15, beacuase i had to stop playing so much sport due to injury.. but now i cant seem to get lighter or physically appear more toned and slim. i keep calories right down, i ride the horse for an hour almost daily, exercise for an hour evry day i can doing toning exercises (running etc didnt work, it only built up muscle).. and now im stuck! i slipped down the diet - pill road for a little while but this wasnt approved of by someone quite influential in my life so i stopped..
any ideas? i have a bmi of roughly 21, but it varies from one website to the next.
(just off out now, but will be back to see if help was at hand later!)
 
-gem-, firstly BMI is a horrible scale that is pants imo.

21 BMI is fine tho (should you want to use the scale).
What would be good, if you could get to a gym that will test your bf%, i find that a much better scale to work with. Ive seen some scales in Boots that will also tell you your bf% im sure.
 
Weighed in this morning ... 8st 2.5lbs !! :D

Also I really don't think I'll get anywhere under 8st

I'm losing BF but I'm also building muscle due to me doing weights twice a week so I'm going to change my target to something more realistic :)

I'm really pleased with the top half of my body now, just need to lose a little bit off my waist & hips and a touch off my thighs & bum and I'm done !

Got my re-evaluation at the Gym on friday so will be able to post my BF%

I'm so pleased and proud of myself that I'm still going despite lots of setbacks and periods where I really really felt like jacking it all in and try and get used to being a bit blobby .. no way am I gonna do that !

Once the BF is lost I'm going to concentrate more on building my muscles and still do some cardio to maintain - I'm also going to carry on eating healthily :)

Well done, seriously :D

I'd definitely say to you once you are happy with your bodyfat and shape, don't be so concerned with weight itself. Muscle is a lot heavier, so you purely going on scales it'll seem like you are putting excess back on.

Keep at it!

Edit: I'm not carrying any more body fat than I did in November but I've put on a lot of muscle to take me from 14 stone 3 to just on 15 stone.
