OcUK GUIDE TO ORDERING YOUR AMD 9070 GRAPHICS CARD TODAY AT 14:00

Do you have an OcUK order number?
If the order did go through you will have an OcUK order number.

OcUK does not cancel peoples orders, we have never done this and we always fulfil back orders at ordered price, so if you have an OcUK order number, I shall get CS to confirm it this end and if we did get the order, I shall find out the details. If we did get it and someone this end cancelled it then I shall make sure it is honoured.

Post the OcUK order number as a reply to me and I shall get it looked into. :)
I ordered on Friday morning as a guest for speed. I used a card and confirmed the payment in my app and on the website - for delivery on Monday (10th). The card I ordered was in stock for an hour or so after I ordered, yet I have not received any confirmation or cancellation e-mail. What do I do in this case? The order seems to have gone into a black hole, and now the prices have increased

They still make good money on consumer GPUs and £500 is still a lot of money for a mid range graphics.
But for some strange reason we (collectively) seem to think a CPU like the 5800X3D or 9700X at $450 and $360 respectively are not a lot of money despite them containing dies that are four times smaller than a GPU.

If paying £500 for a product that contains a 357 mm² die is a lot of money what is paying £315 for a product that contains a 70 mm² die, should a 9700X cost £80 or should a 9070 cost £1,200?

Don't get me wrong as i, like most people, think we're being asked to pay way too much for gaming GPUs. However i don't see that changing anytime soon for the simple fact that everyone and their dog now uses TSMC for cutting edge nodes and they have limited capacity so products with higher profit margins take priority.

Hi Gibbo, I have an email confirming the card that I'm being offered for an additional £20 as the card "allocated to your order too". So I'm sure you can imagine that I'm frustrated here. I used a payment option on your website as your own card payment page wasn't working, then I get my order cancelled, then I get told on here no card was allocated, then customer care tell me I have to pay more, then someone at OcUK tells me its the same card I thought I'd bought that I can now buy at a higher price.

I've been using OcUK since my 486 in the 90s, during uni and since getting back into the hobby (after a decade or so of only having the budget to use my work laptop and buy consoles). This is very much feels like someone just wanted a good excuse to sell a card for an extra £20. You can blame Amazon pay all you want, but this is how it looks to me.

Please can you let me know the order number?
I can then get this sorted for you.

@Gibbo, sorry to pester, just wondered if you could update on status of the 9700XT nitros, I managed to get a preorder in on Thursday and phoned on Friday to change to sat delivery in case they came in that day, I was going to phone to change that back as its passed now but lines are down. Just wondered if I keep that on the order will they still ship as soon as they arrive?

Well i had a launch day disaster..

I got in the queue at 2pm on launch day got to the store picked my card choice (ASUS TUF 9070 XT) and proceeded to purchase the card only for the website to throw up a Gateway 505 error and crash.
I then went through the process again until i finally got back in to store to order again. This time my choice of GPU had sold out but they did have the Sapphire Radeon RX 9070 XT Pure Gaming available to order, which i did.

My order arrived yesterday and they have sent me out an Saphire RX 9070 Gaming OC which i did not order but i was charged the MSRP of a 9070XT
I checked my account on the store and sure enough my order is now showing as a RX9070 Gaming OC.

I emailed them to tell them this and arrange a return which they accepted only to send me the return documents stating i return the original GPU {RX 9070 XT Pure Gaming) i ordered which they did not send me and i can`t send back.

I have tried to call them but funnily their phone lines are down and i can`t contact them to talk to someone about this issue, i was going to go to them directly but the web site says you have to book a returns appointment online which i am currently waiting on.

It`s been a total mess up until this point.

What was your order number, I shall get returns manager to look into and sort for you.

@Gibbo here was my Order Number : ST5714243 that was cancelled.

Order went from "Order Confirmed" to "Order - Undefined" then to "Order - Cancelled"

When in checkout I clicked on Klarna then went back to checkout and compelted this through PayPal, got to the Order Confimration screen on the OCUK website and order showing immediately in my account.

Got in touch with CS and they claim it was cancelled because of Klarna, even though I did not check out with Klarna and it was PayPal and as said before got a Confirmation Email from OCUK and PayPal.

Shall forward to CS and request they honour your order, do give us a day or two as CS are swamped, but as you have an order number I can see its genuine and shall aim to honour what you ordered and the price you ordered. :)

means you never check out, so there is nothing to do, check out booted you because stock had sold out and we were not taking back orders.
this is categorically false - I confirmed the order in my banking app and on the website. the card was still in stock for an hour after my order, hence I thought nothing of it

You would have had an order number then, if you do let me know it and I shall have it looked into.

Morning Gibbo,

Is there any way to retrospectively retrieve an order number.
I checked out as guest and got an order number, payment has been taken but I stupidly didn't note the number as expected an email. I haven't had any email correspondence, other than for another order I cancelled due to making this new one.

I'm not worried as it's a pre order of the Nitro+ 9070 XT and I saw the order number. It would just be nice to know it for any correspondence I have.

I've raised a ticket but had no response.

Thanks for any help.

The reaper I nabbed in the 10.15 pm drop on Thursday evening was delivered to me at 11.30 am today (well technically yesterday) here in Ireland, so pretty good going. Nice compact quiet card. My i5-12400 is more of a bottle neck than I expected so will replace it after selling the 6750xt. Thanks for your efforts Gibbo.
Interesting... I have the same setup but not managed to test much yet - where/how are you seeing the btl neck? Was hoping the 12400 would suffice.
