Might have to pause my current build while I play around with the Pistons

Got a few ideas I want to play with

They normally have experimental builds available within a few hours. They chose not to release a recommended build for this last one mostly due to all the game breaking bugs in MC itself.

Do the official pistons still only push something by 1 block? It would be cool to have a retractable staircase or a big wall, but if the pistons can only move stuff +/- 1 block then it may limit some things that I would like to do..

Yea that is intentional, when the area is regenerated the station will be replaced.

Edit: I can add an extra line to the departure message for red balloons that says something along the lines of : 'WARNING: Unstable land do not build in that area!'

In this thread there is a shelf mod, not sure if it would work on our mp server or what not but i think a good few people would love this (it lets you display stuff usually you could only put in a chest i.e golden apples for the world to see)

I remember a discussion ingame the other day where a few peeps said they would love something like this, maybe could this be considered for a trial on the server if its compatible??

The problem with these mods is that they need each individual player to install the mod locally, so it could be confusing for some players.

The problem with that is the lockette plugin used to lock chests ect. It wont work with the shelf plugin (even if the shelf plugin worked with bukkit). As you can imagine this could cause lot work for the admins.

After some painful testing, and as a helpful note to everyone RE: balloons...

- Obviously you only hold 1 coal while using them.
- If you have any other single coals in your hotbar or inventory they will also vanish.

I just claimed 3 places for my homes at the balloon port locations, so I guess I better get building...!
