OcUK Powerlifting Totals

I think it would be great to see some vids of the guys here, put faces to names and weights!

Anyone who is comfortable putting their lifts in here should be comfortable with posting a video of some DLs/Benches/Squats! There's not really any people that are listed in the table that shouldn't be proud of the amount they lift.

nobody shouldnt be proud of what they lift.
just some are REALLY good lifts.

The last ones posted, if non equipped or substance assisted, are bordering on UK and european records.

for example:

UK unequipped, drug tested U23 bench record:

Class:::Lift:::::::::::::::::::Record
90kg:::Bench (All Contest):147.5kg

Same but for seniors (open):
Class::Lift::::::::::::::::::::Record
90kg:::Bench (All Contest):187.5kg

imo those who dont wanna post vids (especially if also wont post pics) probably are all mouth. Mobile phones (even sub 50 quid ones) do video as do almost all cameras. I understand some people not wanting to look stupid in their gym but come on 1 rep, max weight, takes a coupla seconds and, tbh since the people who need to 'prove' their lifts are lifting big weight, i dont see why anyone in the gym would care!

actually, the equipped for GBPF (tested fed) at 90kg bench is only 197.5kg.
so he should compete tbh :]

indeed! Im just a bit tired of seeing so many people posting unproven numbers. And as a result im becoming less and less inclined to contribute or seek advice simply because i have no confidence in most people living up to what they claim on here. Tank is probably the biggest lifter that i would assume to be legit as he is massive and looks like a powerlifter yet he's second on the table to a bloke who has just plonked some numbers down to be at the top (possibly)

New Year reform for this thread methinks

anyway, talking of lifts.

FF can you update mine please, 145 bench and 235 dl. cheers :D

I'm edging closer to the 155 bench that i need next year. shoudl really start back squatting again. maybe in the new year when i get back into a gym properly!

oh, and bodyweight is just over 125 atm :/

Well that's blown me out of the water :/ :( :p

Nice lifting mate :)

My training has been so sporadic these past few weeks I don't know if I can achieve any big lifts - but come new year I will be trying.

I like the video idea - I've posted my 110kg powercleans and DLs etc.. heck, even have 100kg bench comps max number of reps etc... We could set up a league - similar with dips, weighted dips etc... could be quite fun?

Well done Morba:cool:, I have given up on the deadlifting machine to many Penny's I'm afraid:(. But not on a squat machine in February so watch out haaaaaaaaaa ha:p.

Nice lifting mate :).

Your getting there, not to long now you've made big gains recently;).

Also is there any chance we could have other lifting totals like lat pull downs, seated rows, Ez curl bar etc? As these are my strong points:p:D

Hehe, not surprised. though tbh, i would imagine you could fabricate one yourself quite cheap and easily.
It has helped me get used to such a high weight in my hands, pretty much like doing rack pulls do (just dont have a rack that i could use instead).
If i was back up in slough, I reckon I could do 300kg on that machine!

Dont worry FF, you will catch up again soon. My DL was actually quite a while ago now, not sure why I never mentioned it over here!

For bench, generally atm im not trying to go above 95% of 1RM, instead concentrating on 10x3 (with 1 minute rest period)!

I dropped out of the runnings for this quite a while ago, i'm nowhere near my best lifts, I'm embarrased to watch my lifts in the mirror let alone video them and stick them on the web, but i'm almost 2stone lighter and a hell of a lot fitter and healther than when this thread was started (still got a decent amount of muscle mass as well).

Only if I knew what I was doing:(.

good work fella :D
i wouldnt worry, i bet most peoples weights are a bit old and not current best lifts, i know my squat isnt (but then ive not done a back squat with a decent weight in a long time!)

If you could find one in a shop or a gym somewhere, it might be worth getting an idea of the size, then find someone who can weld (most commercial places shouldnt charge too much). Shouldnt be too hard imo.

they are pretty much like wheelbarrows (in terms of how it makes you lift), just no wheel :p

pretty ashamed about my lifts not really been training to hard and for only a few months . However starting to up my game recently over christmas and hopefully this will continue. Have also been eating a proper diet for a few weeks.

anyways for new bottom place: 80kg bench for 3 reps, 70kg squat for 8, and 80kg deadlift for 8. Not tried one rep maxes as would prob crush myself!

hopefully be a intresting refrence to myself for future lifts if manage to train into next year, only done deadlifts a few times so trying to keep a solid form and done squats about 10 times since september so hopefully should be able increase these quite rapidly.

bodyweight 90kg (put on about 4kg since started :-/) age 19 height 6"4

Your weights are good mate, especially if you're new.
Just keep at the legs, you should concentrate on them more so than other parts IF you have to make the choice and squats/dead use quite a lot of muscle groups.

Your bench seems high in comparison to the rest, although squats/deads will come in leaps and bounds :).
