OcUK Powerlifting Totals

pretty ashamed about my lifts not really been training to hard and for only a few months . However starting to up my game recently over christmas and hopefully this will continue. Have also been eating a proper diet for a few weeks.

anyways for new bottom place: 80kg bench for 3 reps, 70kg squat for 8, and 80kg deadlift for 8. Not tried one rep maxes as would prob crush myself!

hopefully be a intresting refrence to myself for future lifts if manage to train into next year, only done deadlifts a few times so trying to keep a solid form and done squats about 10 times since september so hopefully should be able increase these quite rapidly.

bodyweight 90kg (put on about 4kg since started :-/) age 19 height 6"4

Have you only literally just started weights?

80kg for 3 reps already?

Naturally strong? or trained before?

He's 90kg, 80kg for 3 is good, but nothing exceptional tbh. many people have lifted more on their first lifts ;]

not trying to take anything away from the poster mind, its good work :]

I started with like 10kg dumbbells I rember being proud of being able to do 14kg dumbbells... :(:(:( :o

same with squats really.. Like 2 10kg plates on the smith machine to attempt to do squats.. :(

Although with deadlifts I quickly progressed from 40kg-100kg-130kg in a few months..

Dam my crappy genetics!!!

i would be really shocked if you started with a 1rm of 20kg.

I use to do them for 10reps...

which is still very weak.. I think my genetics = weak skinny tallish low test pencil neckt drooped shoulders weed (ectomorph)

In the past few days I've really been considering taking a relaxed view of lifting weights... e.g quit eating properly, allow myself to drink when I like and as much as I like and just train 3 times a week/when I can be bothered.

It's depressing putting a large amount of effort to gain mediocre results at best.

your pics on the bb thread make you look big and really lean and if you have the mentality to be strict (which i think majority of people dont myself included) should keep at it. How long have you been training for? can only improve and thats what matters; imo tho need a few luxeries keep going. I havent been drunk for over a week now:-) personally couldn't ever eat a strict diet (unless i started taking a sport more srsly and pre tournament) but afaik it isn't so bad if you're a lean build long as getting the calories. (possibly wrong)

Also been training since augest and my problem is i think sometimes dont manage to make it to gym until the weekend then when i go with my friend we end up benching most of the time because he enjoys that most :( Going to priotise back / legs over chest from now on for sure. My lat pull downs are for example 60kg x 8 , really poor and always amazes me when my friends just start doing controlled pull ups for 10 or so reps without struggling when i am lucky to do 1-2 at end of workout. Sometimes feel similar to you body naturally wants to be lean and skinny with little muscle i think. plus side to that is very hard to get fat lol

crazy test levels freefaller although you do look like a gorrila lol. Do you think weightlifting increases your test levels? or is it just because you are naturally like that ,or maybe combination between both? :)

Well In terms of size I've had quite a few comments from people I havent seen for a year or up to three years saying I've bulked up or I use to be skinny e.t.c. so that makes me :)

I think when I was 16 I was about 64kg now I'm about 85kg at 19 so thats quite a change.. I've only really eaten enough food i think since I've been at uni about a year an a half now.. But have lifted weights since about 16 or so..

I've also noticed my nipples have got some gyno going on too :(

I just feels rather depressing that despite I've tried to focus on strength.. I don't have any!

I don't know if it's normal but in terms of reps they roughly half for each 10kg increase... for instance 60kg for 24 reps... 70kg for 12 reps and 80kg for 6 reps.. Is that a normal strength curve?

I'm tempted to get my test levels checked :o:(

edit: my lat pulldowns are alright :p the lat pulldown machine I has me hanging in the air when 70kg is on then I add another 15-20kg or so :p

Hoping to pick this up later in the year http://www.fitness-superstore.co.uk...squat_calf_raise_machine_grey/7132_p.htmlyear to work on my squats, I have given up on the deadlifting front but getting into partial dead lifts:) so less strain on my lower back.

I'm going to order a pair of these bad boys next week

good for 340kg so I can really push myself on the partial deadlifts.
