Note the 5 year old RTX 2080Ti is within 10% most of the time as well
Seems like the performance varies quite a bit, game depending. No doubt due to the limited bus speed/reduced processing cores, etc.
In the current climate, I don't think it's that bad an option, though certainly not a compelling one. Power efficiency seems to be its main advantage, though.
enthusiasm is draining release by release such a sad state

Definitely people on 1070s and 2xxx series etc desperate to upgrade but have refused to so far will probably go for it - assuming they can get for the launch price quoted and not the £100 inflation which will happen subsequently. Its clearly aimed at 2070 owners, but with a $100 up sell, its about 60% faster than a 2070 Super for $100 more.
Meh... £600, that's a lot of money, if i was in the budget for a £600+ GPU i might have got the 2080 Super to start with and in that case i would only be for a 45% gain 4 years and 2 generations later.
It's basically the same price/frame as the 7900XT. I'd rather save a bit more and buy that with 20GB of VRAM.
5000 series from NVidia that should bring back some normalty to pricing and performance gains.
The 7900 XT is such a good card IMO. If they could just get the price down a bit more on some models it would clean up.

Time stamp at Paul`s closing comments - this is the first card since the GTX 780 series where the lastest XX70 isnt faster and cheaper than the last gen XX80 series card.
From the reviews i've seen so far, still watching a couple. The general view on the 4070 is that you should be buy a 6800xt
Not a good start haha.
