**OcUK Secret Santa 2011 - The unWrapUp!**

It's annoying when your recipient doesn't post pictures or a thanks for the second year running.
 
So a few people will be getting their avatar changed soon then as that was the arrangement in the rules iirc? :D

I've no idea, find it quite disappointing to be honest. Same happened last year. I'm pleased I got a present this year though, didn't receive one last year (and led the charge for bans et cetra) and this years present is awesome.
 
I still don't understand why anyone decided to take part and not adhere fully to the rules set out by skippi90, especially with the threat of a ban etc hanging over your head should you fail to send out a parcel.

Gifts must cost a minimum of £9.99 and a maximum of £15. This does not include postage.
Sign up ends November 14 2011. NO new participants will be accepted after this date.
All gifts to be posted by the end of Friday 9TH DECEMBER. NO EXCEPTIONS.
Members must have a minimum of 250 posts, with Trust enabled.
A photo of the received gift must be posted in the unWrap-up thread. Failure to do so will result in action deemed appropriate by a don. Likely a name/avatar change.
In the event of a member not sending an item and not responding to correspondance, that member will be perma-banned due to the damage caused to the community and the lack of trust exhibited by that member.
In the event of a dispute (due to items lost in the post) proof of postage must be provided to the event organiser/don. It would be good practice to save a screenshot of your online orders.
The event organiser/don's decision is final.
Gifts - Can be anything. Use your imagination
Packaging - Include some reference to OcUK or the Secret Santa on the packaging for obvious reasons

The rules are extremely clear and concise. I think what is actually outlined in the Rules needs to be carried out, otherwise come next year there will be more of the same unfortunately. Until someone actually gets banned/avatar changed for not adhering to the rules, they might as well not exist.

Yes I feel we should give everyone an opportunity to correct their mistakes/sort any issues that have arisen, but when push comes to shove a decision needs to made on what happens next and a good deadline would be the end of January for the whole matter to be drawn to a close.

What part of 'NO EXCEPTIONS' do people not understand? :confused:

So what's happening now Shayper? Are you following up with Royal Mail, waiting for a response from them, still need to contact them or what?

Ban until secretspy receives her present TBH.

I'll send her another gift tomorrow in any case. If the other one arrives, well, no loss. As I said, I couldn't afford to send it via tracked at the time so I have no hope of getting compensation for royal mail.
