shayper, you're exactly the reason i don't participate in this, i'd balls it up too!

realise when you have too much on your plate. i don't know whether you sent it or not but the story is a little far fetched but you've gone too far now to own up (though you still could if it was the case you'd forgot to do it, honesty is the best policy)

seems to be a quite succesful idea though tbh, though these things are never ever 100% succesful.

calling for a ban for shayper is a little harsh though. let's just hope he couldn't afford recorded because he spent the money on durex instead!
 
Aaaannnyyyway.

Shayper is going to re-send another present tomorrow. If Karen doesn't receive this by COB this Friday then Shayper accepts an immediate ban.

Done? Sorted? End of? :)

Personally, I think the overwhelming emphasis should be on people receiving gifts rather than the punishments that those should receive for not adhering with some of the rules - I say this being the only person 2 years ago who didn't receive a present at all.

It is a bit disappointing and rubbish that a gift hasn't been received on time, but reasons have been given and apologies made. Shayper just has to hope those in charge see it the same :p

yeah I agree

oh i lost the receipts is the biggest load of BS going, why have rules if we can bend them for popular people.

He didn't bother to send it on time/forgot, then made up a crap story and is now back peddling faster than the backwards cycling olympics.

The mods need to sort this **** out and dish out a ban, no excuses perma the **** off

I do own a wallet, and I did keep the receipts. If you saw my room you would understand why I can't find them, I get lost in there sometimes!

Is Shayper and secretspy the only draw that is yet to be received? Sorry I haven't been very active recently so not been able to keep on top of things.

Shayper has explained himself already, be it lies or truth.
How many more times do people want Shayper to explain himself? What is it going to change?
Shayper already said he will send the present tomorrow and if it doesn't reach Karen by Friday then he's going to get banned.

I suppose it doesn't matter what I think, or what anyone else thinks. You're a popular member, especially in GD so it's fairly obvious you'll have no punishment. I feel sorry for your recipient and I can't believe someone can be totally incapable of:
  • Sending a gift
  • Receiving a gift

Next year I hope you either take it more serionsly or don't take part at all.

Cant help but feel there are some double standards going on here (not unsusual for OCUK ;))

If the person guilty of not sending a present had not been an "OCUK celebrity" or had a low post count then everyone would be calling for immediate bannage.

However since the person in question is well know on the forums lots of people think a ban is too harsh and that everything will be ok as long as it gets there eventually?

Those were the rules set out at the beginning same rules for everyone regardless of post count....

Not saying I dont believe Shayper but the whole saga does seem a little far fetched.
