*** Oculus Quest 2 Owners Thread ***

Contractors update has gone live meaning that all the mod maps can be played on the quest now, seems to have got a while lot popular!

Nice.

I'm having a bit more success in the game after playing wired instead of over virtual desktop. The additional latency over wireless def seems to put you at a disadvantage, however small it is.

An alternative is FitXR, but that has had a big backlash as it was originally a paid for app that they turned subscription.

There's a new boxing fitness game which looks really interesting: Les Mills Bodycombat

oooo that is a low thing to do (without giving existing buyers life time subs of course). i didnt even know that was legal. i buy heaps of titles which may take years for me to get to but i do it to support the devs. i never support subscriptions however as they just dont work for me (due to such little spare time)

Changing from a Vega 56 to a 3070FE, will I need to change anything VR settings wise? Or just a case of using DDDU to removed AMD drivers, install new card and then install nVidia drivers?

You dont need any 3rd party utility to remove the drivers just uninstall with Control Panel the normal way, then shut machine off, remove vega, put 3070fe in and install Nvidia drivers.

Hi is there a table tennis group fro the quest 2 here

I don't think there is any Table Tennis group here. But there are people who play Eleven: Table Tennis. If you start a group, I am sure you would get some people to join as it seems to be pretty popular.

My bobovr m2 pro arrived this morning. Brilliant!! so much better than the kiwi

Spoke too soon. It's going back :-(

It must be the shape of my face or something, but anytime I move my head the damn thing goes out of focus. Tried moving it about, and losening or tightening...to the point my forehead is proper squashed. Nope, everything keeps going out of focus. Beat sabre is a complete no no, not to mention the light leakage from under the nose.

I'm going to try the elite battery strap which is coming on Sunday.

Hopefully the next oculus headset is much better than this!

Since getting the Quest 2 late last year I’ve regularly cast it to our Sony Android TV, worked a treat.

Tried this evening for some mini golf and it’s a stuttering mess, both in the headset and on the TV. Switching off casting instantly restores performance.

Any ideas?

I don’t think I’ve used casting since going to v37…

Have you tried the stock strap (not too tight on the sides, with a battery pack attached on the back? There's attachments that create a cup like support for the back of your head (I've attached some foam to mine to help further).

Elite battery strap arrived. Still the same. Feels no better than the kiwi. In order to get anything in focus, I have to have it sit on my nose which makes me feel like I've got a cold.
